I think its reasonable to have an age restriction. One of my camp counselors died partially because he drank a case of monster every day. he was 15-ish.

It's a commonly known fact that coffee will stunt one's growth, but I'm 5'7"-8" and stopped growing when I was 11, so drinking highly caffeinated beverages had no impact on my growth. Most females stop growing around ages 13-15 anyway, and there's a large gap between then and when they turn 18.

Not just growth, I'm pretty sure it stunted normal development and attention spans.

I've mentioned a few times about starting my part time job recently. Well, it turns out that my co-workers are all jerks. There's a lot of down-time on the job as well, which makes it even worse. I guess I'll start using the down-time to work on my Japanese, might as well be productive.

As for my co-workers, I got pinned for some inappropriate jokes that they made and they took some innocent stuff that I did and blew it out of proportions. I had to meet with my boss about it the other day, I signed a paper taking responsibility for it and got off with a warning. I am literally never talking to these people again unless I am required to in order to complete my daily tasks, but seeing that my job is a single-person thing 99.9% of the time, it seems I won't have to worry about that.

Ouch... If only you had a camera in your pocket, so you can report them. Pretty immature of them to do that because I'm pretty sure they're old enough by now.

Pinching_eyes_2 Wow, that is terrible! Why didn't you tell your boss it wasn't you? The fact they feel like they can do what they want then lie is so stupid. Just don't talk to them and you will be safe (hopefully(if they don't pull another fast one ( ;__Wink ))

I thought Hato double posted, because the UW guys' sigs and avis are the same, LOL! On the other hand, that really sucks, Wizard. They should know better at their age.

That is horrible. They are clearly not mature enough to work at the job they're at and yet they get no comeuppance...? I'm sorry but them being disrespectful to you for NO reason is extremely out of order and immature. Their maturity level makes mine seem high and look at how immature I always am.

Just make a complaint to the boss because you cannot just let them get away with it. Tell me, do they not realise they're hurting you or are they doing it deliberately just to annoy you? If it was deliberate then they clearly want you fired (which would make them awful people).

I figured it would just be better to take the blame and move on rather than dispute it. If I were to dispute it, it would mostly likely cause further problems with that group. I don't have to talk to them, so I figure that if I disassociate myself from them then I should be fine. Hence why I'm considering working on my Japanese during my down-time at work.

Well, to be fair it is an extremely simple job with lots of down-time to do whatever, yet they still complain that the job 'sucks.' The majority of the staff are college students so there is a big turnover rate between seasons. Staff who work in the fall usually leave before summer because of school, and staff who come on during the summer usually only see it as a summer job. I'm just hoping that they'll all quit by summer, I already know that a few of them are planning to.

I think they realize how it affected me, I'm pretty sure that was the point. I just wish I had read the situation better at the time.

Yeah, a phone counts, in fact it's probably the one I recommended the most.

RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Wizard - Feb. 15, 2015

Update on my work:

I worked from 9-5 today and overall it was pretty chill. There wasn't much to do so most of the day was spent sitting around practicing my katakana, I even memorized a new set. It was pretty much just me and my coordinator today. At one point I had to drive some mattresses up to the dumpster but one of them fell off at the top of the hill. When I picked it up a car drove past and, to my surprise, literally every single employee who doesn't like me was crammed into that car. That's why they don't like me, they're a freaking click lol. Luckily they all work in a different department than I do so this was the only point in my day where I actually saw them. They're more of a night-shift problem.

Tomorrow I'm working 9-5 again but I haven't worked any Sundays yet so I'm not sure how it plays out. I think I just have a list of stuff to do, but I'm not sure whether I'm supposed to leave when that's done or at 5. I'm hoping I can stay there until 5, when my shift is scheduled to be over, otherwise I'm losing like half a days pay. Even if the majority of that day is sitting around, I'm still scheduled 8 hours. I can definitely have all of my tasks done before noon anyways. I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

Welcome to Canada.

We live in igloos and have pet polar bears. Everyday is winter out here. This is why hockey is a national sport here.

But why did you guys get snow so late? We had some snow days last week and the week before.

RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Tri - Feb. 17, 2015

Snow day today for me. I decided to do a speed workout on the track. Bad idea. I feel like my chest is going to explode with a total of 16 laps .-. 6400 meters aka 4 miles.

10 of which were 800's at a 2:30 pace ;(.

Should probably mention it's like 20 degrees farenheight.

RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Wizard - Feb. 19, 2015

I've had a crazy couple of days. I had been thinking about trying harder with my Japanese studies and taking some formal classes, but my school doesn't offer any, so I contacted a Japanese professor at the snooty-rich-kid school from the next town over. She was a super nice woman and wanted to meet up with me so I could test out of the beginner class, but it turns out I would have to pay tuition at both schools (And I can hardly afford community college at the moment).

It worked out in the end though, I found a place in Philadelphia where I can take classes. It's a bit of a commute (1 hour by car), but I think I could manage since it's only once a week.

Juice boxes are usually 250mL and I can never seem to finish the last bit of juice for some reason. I've found some other juice boxes that are 200mL so I'm pretty stoked. I guess it's to keep the price consistent but downsize on the actual product. Better for me because it feels like just the "right" amount of juice. Woot woot!

This is one of the greatest posts ever and I don't know why. It truly wears "random thought", haha!

I have my first ever choir concert this upcoming Friday! I'm stoked and scares mostly because there are not very many guys and I defintely sing the loudest. We are doing some songs from the Frozen soundtrack, I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables, Music of the night from phantom of the opera, Elenor Rigby by the beates (love this song), and I'm walking on sunshine.

1ST TENOR POWERS ACTIVATE.

Another random thing, I got elbowed really hard in the face today playing basketball and it bled pretty bad. I thought it was just my lip but my tooth is actually loose … uhhg. It's one of my front ones too. Now if it falls out I'll like even MORE of a dip carp.

I work night shift tomorrow and it's supposed to snow really bad. It's literally at the point where my boss told me to bring an extra pair of clothes as I may end up having to sleep in the guest house over night. I probably wouldn't mind, as the guest house is really nice, but I really like sleeping in my own bed, haha.

You better learn how to make a snow burrow just in case. I watch to much Alaska: The last frontier btw.

What about that snow storm or whatever that hit the south? We haven't gotten snow this year but it was pretty cold the past couple of days (like 40-50 degrees, today was fine though). Especially when you decide you don't want to a bring a comfortable sweater to soccer practice but instead decide you wanna bring a big uncomfortable winter coat over a t shirt and shorts. I obviously decided that I'd rather let my hands go numb (NO HAND BALL PENALTIES MAN) than look stupid wearing this huge coat playing soccer. I don't know if my hands have ever gotten that numb, especially when we were required to lay on cold moist grass for an exercise. Like they got tingling whenever I used them ( like picking up a ball would feel weird). It was cold to the point where my coach even asked if I was cold, but being the quiets emotionless person I appear to be, I denied and I kept playing.

Yeah, I'll be fine. Waking up this morning, I can tell it still moves fairly easily. I'm hoping when the gum reforms that it will stay in place. I'm very cautious when eating because when I bite down the tooth touches my bottom teeth and it causes a lot of pressure on it. I sure would hate to get a permanent denture at 16 years old … lol.
