Hi, my name is _______. I am here tonight to ask if it will be once again, possible to host another Beyblade tournament and future events in the community center. Beyblade is a battling-spinning top game, which may sound like a kid’s toy, but is actually full of science and entertaining for all ages.

• We previously hosted an event here October 26. Everyone had fun and the room was kept in perfect condition.

• We would like to use this indoor facility. It is a safe, indoor environment for all participants. The tournament itself helps children and young adults develop technical skills in a safe, competition environment. Good sportsmanship is a very important part of all WBO events, as competitors shake hands after each match.

• We have a quick video on Beyblade and the World Beyblade Organization, which will give you a better understanding of both.

• Now that you have an understanding of what the game is, I’ll explain how science is involved. Each part is useful because it has a high amount of friction, a low amount of friction, a certain weight, or even a certain shape. This wide-plastic tip (I showed them a GF) has very little friction, so it rapidly moves around and can be hard to control. Certain parts like Duo, Gasher, and Aquario have good weight distribution, giving the top better Stamina.

• I will do a few demonstration battles, afterwards; feel free to try some out yourself.
