My friend has a pet snake - boa constrictor. Yes I am not lying.

Awesome! my brother has a south American boa (8 feet) her name is Consuela XD (don't remember which exact kind) and an albino bull python. He also has two OBT tarantula's and 5 scorpions, (2 whip scorpians, 1 desert, and 2 emporer) He has other spiders and such in his spare bedroom. The one I sleep in when I visit...

I have a friend that got school off for Rosh Hashanah. I had no idea what that was and thought it was unfair, so I looked it up...

...

Turns out it is the Jewish New Year, and from what my friend told me, he lives about 20 miles from Philadelphia, in a city called East Norriton, and goes to a rural school with less than 125 students altogether, and he said that he suspects that some of the kids might be Amish. Don't know if that has anything to relate to it, but I'm jealous. Tired

Somebody with knowledge of this, clarify some possibilities please...

Wow. I'm going to the physiatrist for a GAD screening soon. I don't know if I should be scared, or be happy.

P.S. GAD= General Anxiety Disorder

We'll, if I was going, I wouldn't be scared, mostly because I have no idea what it is.

Then not commenting about it is your safest course of action. It's a rather silly post otherwise.

Here, this might help.

RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Ingulit - Sep. 06, 2013

Everyone keep in mind that anything you post online can be seen by a future potential employer or health insurance company, so it might be prudent to not share details of past or future physiatrist visits lest it come back to bite you a few years from now.

RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - th!nk - Sep. 06, 2013

GAD at least is probably not something either of those groups would care about that much, to be honest, especially a few years from now.

TakasuMouce, you shouldn't be worried or upset about it, if anything I'd be enthusiastic. If you have it then treatment will make your life much, much easier and more enjoyable. I'm currently being treated for that and one or two other things myself. GAD is common and even better, it's not a disorder with any real social stigma attached to having it, so there's nothing extra to worry about if you do have it - just the hope of a much more comfortable life as a result of treatment.

RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - DefStamina88 - Sep. 06, 2013

Anyways, I have been having symptoms of staggering, blurry lines in my vision (*commence Robin Thicke*), extreme thirst, slow motor skills, and decreased heart rate and energy.

My doctor says it might be diabetes. Can somebody research this and lemme know?

RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - th!nk - Sep. 06, 2013

Yes those are symptoms of diabetes, if I was aware of the thirst when I responded to your post it would have been my first guess too. Personally, I'm surprised the doc didn't just cut straight to testing tbh, but perhaps Australia is just proactive about it - don't see what benefit would be gained from not doing so though.
Either way though, your doctor almost certainly knows better than people on the internet (and particularly people on a site for competitive children's spinning tops) do, and is a much better, more reliable source of medical advice.

Another thing @defstam, you should watch out for Miley... She could be anywhere

RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Kujikato - Sep. 07, 2013

I've been having brain lapses (or the slightly more crude brain farts) for the last two weeks. I'm really pissed at it, cause it's been the first few weeks of school and I'm trying to get into the flow of things so I can get the IGCSE distinction I'm aiming for. I seriously forget super essential and basic stuff. I've counted 7 so far.

1.
2.
3.
4. Fell asleep in the taxi on the way home
5. Forgot we had a English Test (this didn't bother me much) and nearly messed it up completely (this was the real brain lapse)
6. Didn't bring my snack to school
7. Forgot my violin on the way to my violin lesson

I... forgot the first few. T.T

RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - OwnageDerp - Sep. 07, 2013

I'm not trying to generalize your brain forgetfulness, but it must be overwhelmance that has over taken your brain. Perhaps you've been overwhelmed before school started, then carried over to your school time, or it's ADHD. The disease, not the Saturday night Fox block.
Hope this helped, in some way.

You're probably just getting re-adjusted to school. These things happen to me all the time, especially at the beginning of the year (then again, I'm pretty sure I do have ADHD, so maybe OwnageDerp has a point lol). Maybe you should get more rest if you're falling asleep in a taxi?

RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Ryukiba - Sep. 07, 2013

RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Dual - Sep. 07, 2013

My 2 mile time was 15:12(?) or something close to it. I'm horrible XD
We ran three miles today, and by the end, I had tried so hard to beat these kids from my old school, that I was gagging. I missed my time XD

The best time I have ran a mile is like 8 minutes, haha. So I have no idea why the Cross Coutry coach wants me to run so bad. Im fit looking I guess, but I just couldn't run that far.

RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - 6 God - Sep. 07, 2013

RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Tri - Sep. 07, 2013

Wait, it is good, haha? I told him I would join next year. I said over the summer I'd go to conditionings which is basically just like open gym for basketball except this is for cross country.
