Greetings comrades, oldie here :) - 3-Dog - Jan. 18, 2012

I joined up after getting a healthy dose of nostalgia from discovering my beyblades in the attic, I used to be a part of sites like Off the Chain, Beyblade Damashii, Genocide Beyblade and Beyblade Tempest. Was part of the community for a long time, but I doubt anyone except the old members would have even a slight chance of remembering me.

I was a noob on OtC and Damashii, as can be expected for a 10 year old, but I'm glad we've all grown up. A lot of the former bullies on the old sites are the same people who treat noobs so considerately over here, and I'm pleased to say I buried the hatchet with anyone I had trouble with before, including Brad. Dunno if he posts on here anymore though!

I'll be turning 20 on the 27th, so I just felt like I should take a little trip back to one of the communities that helped shape my life up. Another reason I came back was hopefully to increase my collection of plastics and HMS, always wanted to have a good collection I could pass onto my kids.

It's great to see beyblade being kept alive by the new blood, cos it broke my heart when beyblade became so unpopular that all you could find in the stores were metal drigers and magnacore trays. The hasbro version had an EG core as well instead of the HMC so it was pretty much useless. Anyway, I probably won't be the most avid poster, but I'll be about. Should be a rootin' tootin' good time,

Zain

Welcome to the WBO. Its good to see member from OTC back on here. There is a thread for HMS and Plastic testing. You might find them useful. Also If you need any help with MFB PM me. Im here to help. And maybe you can play in HMS/Plastic remembrance day later this year. Were you on Beyblade.com forums?

Cheers mate, yes I was on beyblade.com way back in the day, it was an absolute travesty of a forum where everyone believed in bitbeasts right? Good times!

It was a good time. I was Marik1258 on that forum. I never knew about OTC. At least these forums are a lot more mature then back in those days.

I didn't see this originally, it certainly explains a lot to me! Welcome to the WBO, I'm always delighted to see oldies return, particularly because I'm very much into plastics, and it's nice to have people who know about them around :3

I only saw OtC in passing at the end of its life, never posted or even signed up. I think I tried to post a couple of times on beyblade.com, but the post approval was so slow in the later days of beyblade as it all fell apart that I don't think anything ever showed up. I was 11 in those days, so it would have been terrible anyway Tongue_out

If you feel like talking plastics, there are a couple of links in my signature, particularly plastic parts discussion. It'd save me spending the thread talking to myself. Tongue_out The top tier list discussion thread is a bit out of date, I'm trying to find time to bring it up to date, but yeah Tongue_out

Hallelujah for plastics discussion, plastics and HMS for life! The new beyblades scare me with their weird constellation names and '12D501' code things at the end, I gotta learn more about them! Cheers for the welcome!

P.S Be glad you gave up on beyblade.com, it was an abomination

RE: Greetings comrades, oldie here :) - th!nk - Jan. 22, 2012

I know. It's actually still up: http://forums.beyblade.com/boards/index.php?s=5ea79651a1f3273c4703bb9e41a361f9&act=idx

The new beyblades are pretty cool but the metagame is pretty dull right now, unlike plastics where the earliest releases were still able to stand up to new parts, in MFB, the new parts dominate the old ones due to greater weight and so on, it's quite sad.

There's an HMS Parts Discussion thread too, though I don't have the link, I never really got into them and can't afford to at the moment Tongue_out

Your name rings a bell. Weren't you one of the few who spammed my forum with pornography and other nonsense years ago?

Hey I remember you, you're that guy with the site! Dude, I would NEVER spam you with pornography. The nonsense part was me though, but what can I say, I was young.

Zanon, no disrespect, but it's probably best to leave those sorts of questions for private messages, as to avoid unnecessary drama, especially after so many years. Smile
