Bey-Heart's music - Wizard - Dec. 16, 2011

This thread is for my music compositions and arrangements.

I do a lot of arrangements in my free time, and I've wrote one composition so far.

Currently, I'm working on an arrangements of Here Comes The Sun, by The Beatles. I'm writing it for a Sax Quartet. It uses two Alto's, a Tenor, and a Bari. You can check it out here.

Please take note that it is not 100% complete yet. It's mostly finished, but there are still some things about it that I don't like that I'm going to get around to fixing soon. Most likely tomorrow

That is really nice! Love how at the beginning the notes are played by all 4 different instruments
Grin would love to see it finished! (lol maybe add drums?)

RE: Bey-Heart's music - Wizard - Jan. 01, 2012

Yeah I was thinking about adding a percussion part, but I don't know much about drums, so I wasn't sure what to do.

Anyways, here is my new arrangement. It uses more instruments than I've ever put into an arrangement before, and it turned out really great! I hope you all like it!

You're using a trumpet (probably piccolo) in there for some of the high parts, aren't you? Either that or a player with a great sound in the high registers. It's very hard to do. You'd need probably a custom trumpet, really shallow mouthpiece (e.g. 3F), and years and years of practice. Or, as I said, a piccolo trumpet with a shallow mouthpiece and plenty of practice. Along with alto/soprano sax, clarinet(?), and trombone? It sounds good.

Alto sax, not Soprano. No Clarinet. Yes Trombone. And it's not a Piccolo Trumpet, just a regular Bb Trumpet. I forgot to take it down an octave (Except for the beginning). Oops. XD

My friend Skye gave me the contact information of this guy who is the general manager of Atlantic Records in the UK. But he does some work over here in America too. He is apparently looking for people who do arrangements, compositions, write lyrics, regular songs, and backgrounds for songs, etc. Hopefully he'll like what I do.

Love it! Grin

Thanks. I'm always doing this stuff, so if you check Ichigos, and soon Josh Agarrado's site, then you can find my arrangements in sheet and MIDI form. Also, if all goes well with this guy from the UK, then I'll be harder at work.

Last night I arranged Viva La Vida, by Coldplay for Piano. PM me for the sheets.
