i think so... steve jobs was an important man but this should be in media instead kai-v you agree right?

RE: R.I.P: Steve Jobs, 56 - Kai-V - Oct. 06, 2011

Hm, the meaningful replies I can think of are like : "He did such a great job in Apple to deliver some revolutionary products" ... So, perhaps it would be more appropriate to just post this in the Computers, Gadgets, etc. topic. Otherwise, this thread is just filled with "R.I.P. Steve" ?

Everyone is going to try to make another new RIP Steve Jobs thread if this one was locked, anyway.

Channel 5 interrupted their broadcast for this. They made me miss commercials. Thanks, Steve Jobs.

Aww Deikailo, don't be like that. The guy just lost his life and you're worried about commercials?

Just kidding, I know you're joking. Honestly, I think he was a very good CEO and brought Apple pretty far. I didn't even know they existed until the iPod was released (And Forrest Gump I guess Tongue_out). From there apple completely swiped PC's lead. I don't know if this new guy is any good, but the stock dropped 10.something today.

You were great CEO...thank you for all of your time and efforts in order to make products that furthered the technologies of our time.

The Macintosh was invented by them as well, which was the first computer with a mouse and graphical user interface.

R.I.P Steve, you brought Apple to great distances.

RE: R.I.P: Steve Jobs, 56 - Annoying-Fork - Oct. 06, 2011

To be honest I am very shaken up right now. He suffered before death, the painkillers cannot change that.

He brought a millennium of inspiration to not only every business in the world but to education as well.

RE: R.I.P: Steve Jobs, 56 - Ray Joker - Oct. 06, 2011

Steve was like the Einstein of our era.

If it weren't for him, we wouldn't have iPods, Macs, you name it. We wouldn't even have Toy Story or any movie created by Pixar.

R.I.P Steve Jobs

This man has made marvelous things come about. Hopefully, his legacy will stay with him.

Rest In Peace - Steve Jobs.

RE: R.I.P: Steve Jobs, 56 - Temporal - Oct. 06, 2011

It was kinda weird to hear this one. He looked pretty healthy when he retired. Hard to believe that it wasn't even two months ago. He'll be missed, and should not be forgotten. A true pioneer, Jobs was.

RE: R.I.P: Steve Jobs, 56 - Raigeko13 - Oct. 06, 2011

A dream - a garage - a few men with a similar idea - and look at what it has become.
Compare it to the founding of America - a dream - and a few men with a similar idea.
You changed the world just like our Founding Fathers had done so in the past.
May you rest in peace, old CEO of Apple; Steve Jobs.

RE: R.I.P: Steve Jobs, 56 - Temporal - Oct. 06, 2011

Y'know, minus the crud lying around in the garage. It's not like when founding America, the Founding Fathers kept tripping on hammers and 2X4s left on the ground. That makes it all the more admirable. (Plus he decided that the conventional was stupid and pointless. Points to ya, man.) I kinda feel bad, because it's not like I can say much besides "He was a good dude, and it's sad to see him go", unlike people with religion, who can simply say "God bless" or something. But not too bad, I still wish the best for his company, and whatever else is in store for those who knew him.

RE: R.I.P: Steve Jobs, 56 - Tris - Oct. 06, 2011

Okay... So. Who's Gonna Make The New iPhone? Grin
Hah. Kidding. He Was A Great Inspirational Man... Literally Changing Our Daily Lives. iPods To iPads, To Macs, And More. *Sniff*. Best Wishes To His Family, And What Lies Ahead For Apple.

RE: R.I.P: Steve Jobs, 56 - Annoying-Fork - Oct. 06, 2011

Had to do this without being heard (I needed some alone time), I really did tear up and cry for a bit.

RE: R.I.P: Steve Jobs, 56 - Raigeko13 - Oct. 06, 2011

As did I. I really don't even know why, but it's just saddening to hear he has passed.
You know, I knew today was gonna be a bad day. It was in the clouds. The days when they cover the Sun with a light cover and the Sun isn't too hot, and it isn't too cool, it's always these days when these things happen.
At least where I live.

RE: R.I.P: Steve Jobs, 56 - Ultimatefry - Oct. 06, 2011

I was in a Wednesday night meeting when he died. Yet again, we lose one of the greatest minds we have.

RE: R.I.P: Steve Jobs, 56 - Annoying-Fork - Oct. 06, 2011

I know his death is sudden, and none of us are even thinking about the subject, but.....

What if Apple could release a version of the iPod classic, in a body that is just like the 2001 iPod and for the purpose of commemorating? Including the separated button and wheel design that had not been used since maybe the third generation iPod. Replaces the Firewire for USB but keeps the Monochromatic LCD screen. The back is a classic chrome engraved with quotes from Steve himself?

To me that idea would make sense.

In case nobody knows what I am talking about:

Disguise the classic like this:

RE: R.I.P: Steve Jobs, 56 - Mickey - Oct. 07, 2011

He was a great guy. R.I.P. Does anyone know if they're going to hire a new CEO? If so, who? Even though I don't own any of his products, I'm sure they were excellent.

RE: R.I.P: Steve Jobs, 56 - Annoying-Fork - Oct. 07, 2011

Tim Cook is the CEO now.

RE: R.I.P: Steve Jobs, 56 - Thor Odinson - Oct. 07, 2011

My gosh. I known that he passed recently. Thats the only thing eveyone was talking about. Also my ipod was destroyed in the washing machine just now. I was like"is this a coincidence?"

RE: R.I.P: Steve Jobs, 56 - TITAN - Oct. 07, 2011

I was pretty shaken up when I heard this, but then I realized something. He's just like us. I know that most Americans use something pioneered by him, and he's world famous, but his life isn't any more important than anybody else's. I mean, if I was to die tomorrow, would people who didn't know me care? I don't mean to sound like a d-bag, but I don't see the point in blowing it up like some people do. I do feel bad for the poor guy, and I wish he hadn't died, but he did. My regards go out to those who actually knew him.

RE: R.I.P: Steve Jobs, 56 - Annoying-Fork - Oct. 07, 2011

Most computer geniuses really cannot see it as any other death. To some extent we need to realize people grieve differently.

RE: R.I.P: Steve Jobs, 56 - Spdshadow - Oct. 07, 2011

Sob.if it weren't or him , I would not have found the WBO and would not have been posting this... I pray that you won't haunt me through my iPhone ,Steve jobs, amen
