Deathnote - Elmo - Nov. 27, 2007

The anime is really interesting
Pretty short, but the storyline has many plot twists.

RE: Deathnote - Fleetscut - Nov. 27, 2007

i loved the manga alot more then the anime. the anime moved a bit to fast in places

RE: Deathnote - Ichida - Nov. 27, 2007

the anime was wayyyyyy better then the manga, in terms of pacing

i had no idea what the hell was going on at points in the manga

RE: Deathnote - Tototototototo - Nov. 27, 2007

Dude, you seriously just spoiled the entire series in a matter of seconds. Considering that it just started airing here only around a month ago, that's a big no-no.

RE: Deathnote - Elmo - Nov. 27, 2007

I started watching the anime because some manga fan gave me the series to read. The anime seems to go a tad bit slow, but the pacing is "natural", I guess you would say.

Sorry, but it's kind of implied in the beginning, right? "The human with the death note will suffer", or something along the lines of that.

Ending was a let down imo. The show kicked carp for the first 10 episodes or so, and was decent for the rest. It's was still a pretty rad watch overall.

that comes with the book. its the note used in the movie so it includes everything light wrote on it. thats just the only page which doesnt have my algebra scribbles on it. unless you want to see about subspaces, spans and basis'?

No...not really. It just says the human can't go to heaven or hell.

RE: Deathnote - Ominous - Nov. 27, 2007

Finished watching the entire series - deliciously devious. It's like watching a well-played game of chess where the loser dies. Never will you see such flamboyant theatrics for writing in a book anywhere else.

And to Elmo's credit, right from the start Ryuk says he'll write down Light's name in his own Death Note in the end. It's also one of the 'eyecatch' rules.

RE: Deathnote - Tototototototo - Nov. 27, 2007

Ah, you are correct. My mistake--sorry for the mishap.

But yeah, killer show. Light's crazy.

RE: Deathnote - Ominous - Nov. 27, 2007

I just love it when he grins. You can really feel his arrogance through that look of his - especially at times when he thinks he's won and is stifling back laughter.

Also, I am in love with the first ending and second opening theme.

To say the LEAST. I mean I understand wanting to better the world. I actually believe in killing bad people like he does. I say more power to you. But he wants to be/sees himself as a god... or AS God. He. Is. carp. Nuts.

RE: Deathnote - Carina - Nov. 27, 2007

Haha, wow. I think I finished reading Death Note last year. I started watching the anime, but I didn't like it as much as the manga. D: And the movies are pretty good too.

RE: Deathnote - Dark Wolborg - Nov. 27, 2007

Didn't read the manga yet but I saw the anime. I'm gonna miss L.

Also I'm picturing santa claus with a death note.

RE: Deathnote - Ominous - Nov. 27, 2007

Don't spoil things for others.

Serious

RE: Deathnote - Bey Brad - Nov. 27, 2007

What the carp man, I was going to read this series, that's a pretty big carp spoiler right in the first post.

RE: Deathnote - Crimson - Nov. 27, 2007

Wow, massive spoiler city in first post.
Way to spoil the final chapter of the entire series.

Right now I have all the manga volumes.
I tried watching the anime, couldn't get into it.
Never seen the movies, but read about them, a bit pissed off about how they changed the story for the movies.

RE: Deathnote - Ominous - Nov. 27, 2007

People, people! I repeat, Ryuk promises Light that he will write Light's name in his Death Note from episode one. It's not like Elmo revealed whether or not Light actually succeeded in his endeavours as Kira.

RE: Deathnote - rooneyt - Nov. 27, 2007

i love the manga
