Yes, really, another one. I'm like a machine! I wrote this on the bus this morning at 8 AM on the way to my first day of class, lol.
"Anima"
There is no soul left in our empty stares,
It escaped from our mouths, which never close;
Launched as a new product, like the dirty air;
Poison, as it were, injected through the nose.
Godless, vapid beings of depravity,
For whom there is no such thing as respect;
They are all marching forward mindlessly;
A machine's definition of perfect.
We bought this culture without thought for the cost;
Our souls and vibrance our line of credit,
And now that even hope itself is lost,
I wonder, was the purchase worth the debit?
Have we just begun the cycle of night,
Or have we at last strayed too far from the light?
