What are you thoughts on the Whale that ate Jaws? Think this is shocking because I've never seen it before.

RE: Killer whale and shark! - drakio - Aug. 15, 2011

wow thats so crazy, I never knew that that could happen. Thats weird. I wounder if more wales will do that too?

RE: Killer whale and shark! - Itachi8 - Aug. 15, 2011

Yea, but here's the real shocking part... The whale don't have a baby! It wasn't a protect your baby! I did that killing all on it's own reason.

RE: The Whale that ate Jaws! - Mickey - Aug. 15, 2011

The researchers didnt bother to do anything at all lol. I sort of expected this from a killer whale though because most other whales eat plankton.

Wow, who would've thought that whales can eat sharks?

I miss free willy...Unhappy

RE: The Whale that ate Jaws! - Itachi8 - Aug. 15, 2011

I am shocked but in all fairness there names are Killer Whale the reason why some people don't expect this for a killer whale when you think of a whale you think of a peace full blue, sperm or hump back whale.

RE: The Whale that ate Jaws! - Temporal - Aug. 15, 2011

Actually, the Orca/Killer Whale is more related to the dolphin and shark taxa. So this is not surprising.

TECHNICALLY, their names are Orca Whales. They just are called Killer Whales. Learn your facts. Like Temporal said, they're more related to the dolphin, and a pack of dolphins can kill a Tiger shark...
Not surprising one bit.

I know that but people mostly call them killer whale. Anyway I knew that killer/Orca whales can kill a shark but I didn't think it would happen, that's what I'm saying.

When did they attack humans? I didn't know that.

RE: The Whale that ate Jaws! - Temporal - Aug. 16, 2011

They're more likely to kill a human than a great white is. Something people commonly forget/don't know at all.

RE: The Whale that ate Jaws! - Itachi8 - Aug. 16, 2011

But people pay money to play with them but people don't pay money to play with a great white shark do they. Also on that killer whale attack the whales was playing with the people on the boat (doign flips and all) and killer whales and dolpins and also known for saving lives in seas and oceans by helping people back to shor.

RE: The Whale that ate Jaws! - Ninja Crab - Aug. 16, 2011

You can buy money? Didn't know that. And dolphins are known for helping humans, not Orcas. Orcas will likely eat your leg. (EDIT: If you look like dinner. Thank you, Dan.) And while people play with them, it is because they hear the "Whale" part, and assume that it is harmless.

Be afraid of the ones at Marine Land, not out in the ocean.

RE: The Whale that ate Jaws! - Temporal - Aug. 16, 2011

Oh, so they only become aggressive in captivity? Well, that is a lesson to us all. Leave 'em alone, and they won't eat you.

RE: The Whale that ate Jaws! - kanato dolsrin - Aug. 16, 2011

they are wolves of the sea! they can kill for fun as well as to eat!

RE: The Whale that ate Jaws! - leonebest - Aug. 16, 2011
