Does anyone know if this is fan based or if this is actualy CN trying to bring bck Toonami?

Regardless, I searched and there was no Toonami topic, so this could be it for the time being.

"NeoToonami is a fan project and is in no way affiliated with Cartoon Network, Turner Broadcasting or Time Warner. "

Thanks Raigeko

Disapointing indeed. Cancelling Toonami was one of the worst mistakes CN ever made. Why was it cancelled exactly? From what I understand the Toonami block wasnt unpopular.

At the very least, Toonami Jetstream should have stayed online. There was zero reason to remove that in my opinion.

Yes, I do wish CN hadn't removed it. When they had that last episode of Toonami, I can't even tell you how many people probably cried. And that was about the same year when CN started getting all of these "new and cool" cartoons. To my knowledge, it was doing perfectly fine, and running a great block, it just lost some of the viewers because they kind of didn't have anything more to show after a while. It sucks that AS picked up the anime, don't get me wrong, but even though they pick some really good anime's, it's always something everyone has heard of. But yes, this is a great thing! I love how they're doing it, even though the new Tom does move a little weird because he isn't professionally made, it still looks and sounds AMAZING. Maybe CN could take this as a hint and re-establish Toonami. I don't think they have any idea how much revenue they could earn by putting it back on the schedule. I could name a few shows that they could drop to make room for Toonami right before AS...

Here's the thing - Toonami ran generally anime series. Anime series aren't properties owned by Cartoon Network - they don't get any money from toy, video game, or home video sales. Thus, they feel as though they're just doing the advertising for someone else's property and would much rather create their own marketable character shows like Ben 10, or Young Justice.

Bakugan for example, does poorly in the ratings given its timeslot, but it has remained there for years because Cartoon Network is the US distributor for the show (Nelvana gave them those rights), so they have a vested interest in seeing it succeed.
