I figured that was about the height it was. Not shabby at all, then. I do wonder about contact points, but that's what testing is for! Grin

RE: BB-118 Phantom Orion B:D - TenshouTsubasa - Sep. 16, 2011

The core seems too fragile to me, hope it has the same design as 230 to prevent Damage.

Or TT wants to make it as fragile as possible to make us buy a lot of Phantom Orion?

RE: BB-118 Phantom Orion B:D - Kai-V - Sep. 16, 2011

Phantom weighs 42.4 grams.
Orion weighs 3.0 grams.
B:D is 3.4 grams heavy.

You can see how the Core and the Metal Frame are in Attack Mode :

OK, this is a joke, it does not even ever fall over, the Metal Wheel never touches the stadium :

This thing is dopee!! Thanks Kai-V! ^o^

RE: BB-118 Phantom Orion B:D - Sniper - Sep. 16, 2011

But wait hold on in the first video BGrin actuall stopped rotating but the metal wheel didn't

42.4, really? That is... exceptionally heavy. I did not expect such a weight for it being so thin-looking. This makes it heavier than Libra, which is pretty impressive. Orion weighing 3.0 is pretty nice, too.

RE: BB-118 Phantom Orion B:D - Pcyborg - Sep. 16, 2011

42.4 grams!? CRAZY! And all of it is concentrated towards the outer rim. Really am looking forward how it performs. Hopefully it doesnt disappoint me when I get my hands on this Grin.

Really am interested to see how this performs offensively.

RE: BB-118 Phantom Orion B:D - Ultra - Sep. 16, 2011

Solo spin time rediculously high. Metagame is doomed.

RE: BB-118 Phantom Orion B:D - Champion 172 - Sep. 16, 2011

Totally epic! I wonder how good it will be in battle, Stamina isn't the only thing a bey requires, right?

RE: BB-118 Phantom Orion B:D - Annoying-Fork - Sep. 16, 2011

Why would any bey have only one asset in battle? Unless I am reading something wrong about that sentence.

RE: BB-118 Phantom Orion B:D - th!nk - Sep. 16, 2011

170 is a pretty decent height (though 195 is generally nicer), so that's quite interesting. So, pretty nice.

The not topling thing kinda reduces life after death I guess? But then, not that neccessary.

Will be interested in how it all works for stamina, I think Phantom will be somewhat like burn though, great distribution but a bit much recoil to handle basalt.

RE: BB-118 Phantom Orion B:D - ControL_ - Sep. 16, 2011

Wow, it stopped and it didn't even fall over...

When it was about to stop, it didn't even slide... This really is something different, let's hope the grip is absolutely rubbish so it gets flung miles away.

RE: BB-118 Phantom Orion B:D - H8R - Sep. 16, 2011

its actually 195 in height what you guys are thinking of as 170 is 170+WD And the B:D is already equipped with the bearing ... your acting like you can put something on it...

RE: BB-118 Phantom Orion B:D - Mr. N - Sep. 16, 2011

Black 230 looks nice. Finally MWs other than Basalt are starting to get heavier.

RE: BB-118 Phantom Orion B:D - BeybladeStation - Sep. 16, 2011

Surely, this is something that even I could not comprehend in my mind.

This is definitely, well, mechanical-engineering, in a possible way, in Metal Fight Beyblade I have never seen even near such a sight. It did not even topple over, how do the mechanics inside it work?

What is even more impressive, to me, is the weight of Phantom. Not only are we getting a heavy wheel, we are getting a Stamina oasis. Seriously, it seems that the only negate think is friction, and smoother erect movements in the stadium. Would it survive versus an Attack Type?

RE: BB-118 Phantom Orion B:D - KCPJ - Sep. 16, 2011

BAN IT RIGHT NOW!!!!Jk,looking forward to this beyblade. XD

RE: BB-118 Phantom Orion B:D - H8R - Sep. 16, 2011

honestly this should balance out the metagame shouldn't it?
we now have two incredible attackers (Blitz, VariAres)
do I need to mention defense Serious
And now we will have a completely awesome stamina type(this)
everyone should be comfortable with there own preferences.
but we shouldn't be all happy about this yet...

What do you think? You answered yourself various times, smoother movements = less traction.

I really think this has very little defence potential, VariAres R145RF can make decent contact looking at height.

RE: BB-118 Phantom Orion B:D - BeybladeStation - Sep. 16, 2011

But you cannot just speculate as so. See, I'm not so sure how B : D art 3.4 Grams would stand up much at all.

I see no balance issue, and therefore I cannot be so sure of how it will react against attack types, especially lighter ones. Looking at what your referred to with VariAres, it is much a vital factor, just on B : D

QFT!
If VariAres can knock Basalt TH170CS around I have no trouble picturing this being knocked around by the same combo's XD

Look at your post before this, it was only speculation.

Balance doesn't mean it will outstand attacks at all... You don't need balance to stop yourself being flung 3 metres away.

RE: BB-118 Phantom Orion B:D - BeybladeStation - Sep. 16, 2011

Actually, I was thinking hypothetically.

You are correct when yous say that on Balance, but it definitely would not hurt, correct? I'm just wondering how this 'side-spinning' really works, that is all.

RE: BB-118 Phantom Orion B:D - H8R - Sep. 16, 2011

haha could you stop and get back on topic?
as amusing as it is to see people argue on Blogs (ahem sarcasm) your being off topic with all the speculating...
yes I do the same thing sometimes but yeah those could be misunderstandings and this couldn't be more different...
please stop cluttering the thread...
stick to PM's for worth less Arguments Serious sorry for being so mean about this...

No one is arguing, what are you talking about?

Everything is heavily on topic, half of the bey (B: D) is being talked about, and its balance seems extremely good, but must produce very little friction, have you not read anything above clearly?

RE: BB-118 Phantom Orion B:D - H8R - Sep. 16, 2011

ControL_ so your saying as long as your talking about a part of the beyblade its on topic?
BGrin will be great cause it won't have much friction
that was on topic right?
we don't even know if the friction is low yet... yes the video speaks for itself but solo spin times and tests are two different things...
S gets a better solo Spin time in most cases than WD...
