TAKARA-TOMY Asia Championships 2011 - Kai-V - Jul. 15, 2011

Since sometimes what happened in the previous championship was ambiguous, and people were wondering how people were chosen, etc. I decide that a whole thread instead of a post in the Beyblade Random Thoughts topic would be better.

The Asia Championships will take place in Kyoto's Aeon Mall on August 21st 2011.

People who want to participate have to fill out a form and send it by mail. If there are too many entries, the actual participants will be picked randomly. And you of course cannot send multiple forms, because you will then be disqualified.

It says that kids who are younger than sixteen years old must fill out the form with the approval and help of their parents. Therefore, I suppose people over sixteen could participate ... ? However, apparently you need to be in school years from one to six.

Application period lasts from July 15th to July 27th 2011.

There have been qualifications in other Asian countries already : Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia, apparently.

And Big Bang Pegasis Asia Model looks very good. I think it is not only for the winners, you just get a chance to have it if you go to the Asian Championships.

Hah, that's pretty cool. So I assume that this is an Asia only competition, or are people from other countries (USA, Canada, ect) allowed to participate? If you pointed that out, I must have missed it. Anyways, thanks for posting Kai-V! Grin Glad to hear TT is having tourneys!

RE: TAKARA-TOMY Asia Championships 2011 - Kai-V - Jul. 15, 2011

Of course only the winners from the other Asian tournaments and Japan residents can participate.

RE: TAKARA-TOMY Asia Championships 2011 - Raigeko13 - Jul. 15, 2011

Ahh, alrighty then, thank you for clarifying for me Kai-V Joyful_3

RE: TAKARA-TOMY Asia Championships 2011 - Nuff - Jul. 15, 2011

Now I wish I lived in Kyoto Smile. Well, I wouldn't be surprised if someone on the WBO won at this tournament. But I wouldn't be surprised if someone won this and then became a member. I confuse myself now. @_@

I'm assuming that when 'Beyblade unites the world', the world consists of Southeastern Asian countries? But seriously, this is pretty cool. And I like that BBP just for the sexy black Pegasis II CW.

RE: TAKARA-TOMY Asia Championships 2011 - OkiBlaze - Jul. 16, 2011

Wow, this is amazing. I seriously wish I could participate, it looks amazing to see such a large tournament.

I hope no one in the Philippines get disqualified for fake parts. They seem to be everywhere.

Thanks Kai-V!

RE: TAKARA-TOMY Asia Championships 2011 - Uwik - Jul. 16, 2011

The Indonesian National Championship is happening right now in Jakarta , as I'm typing. The winner of this will fly over to Japan for this Asia Championship tournament.

It's gonna be a tough one at least for Indonesia, since for the qualification, they picked the champions from the previous local tournaments done by local shops such as SOGO, SEIBU, Kidz Station, Toys City, Toys Kingdom, Carrefour, and Hypermart all over the major cities in Indonesia.

On a side note, It would be nice if such is done also for Europe, North America, Australia, etc, and battle it out for the World Championship.

I think it's more geared towards TT countries than asian countries. India is Hasbro right?

And FYI, all Singapore tourneys are like this Smile I wonder how WBO tourneys are like.

RE: TAKARA-TOMY Asia Championships 2011 - Uwik - Jul. 17, 2011

The ones in Singapore are a lot smaller than the qualifications in Indonesia. I'm not sure about the Indonesian finals though, since I haven't seen the pictures yet.

WBO tournaments are much smaller, but due to it's small sizes, it has a certain personal, fun and comraderie feel to it, which is much more relaxing and in a way, better.

YEEEEEE-haw, GO, Philippines! Cute Ah, if only my younger cousin in Manila were serious about blading, he would've tried his hand at the qualifying rounds. He was an avid blader during the Plastic generation and the beginning of the HMS generation. Will this upcoming TT tournament be streamed anywhere? I'd love to watch it.
