I was leaving in a small house made out of wood. My dad is a farmer, harvesting rice and some vegetable he planted a few months ago. My mom is a cook, she makes the most delicious food in our town. She was even invited to the royal ball to cook the foods for the guest. My sister is 19 years old, reading scrolls of love and hatred, but she likes more love. My brother helps my dad at harvesting. He is one of the strongest persons here in town, fighting every contender in the arena. I hope to be one like him, but mom doesn’t like me too, cause she says it’s bloody and not good for my age. Still, I can just watch the fights and cheer for my brother.

I was busy cutting trees, breaking rocks to find iron ore, went to a spring to get water, and many things I normally do. I was walking down this road. It was full of flowers, vines, and animals. Then, I heard screams, very loud screams. The screams were so loud, I thought my eardrum would break in a second. It was screams of pain, pain from burning or being stabbed. I looked everywhere, trying to find fire or even arrows flying, but saw none. My head started to hurt, and it all went blank.

I opened my eyes slowly, like a newborn child. I saw my mom and dad looking at me, with a worried look. “Angelo, are you all right?” asked my mom. “Uh, I think so.” I replied. I looked around, and saw my backpack filled with rocks. “You did a very good job finding iron, and you also found some bits of gold. Right now, you need rest” my dad said proudly. He stands up, takes one of the ores, and started to chip away the rocks. Then my brother came, carrying a bucket of water. “Ah, you’re awake, eh?” said my brother. “Stop bugging him, he is sick!” said my sister. “Jeez, stop being a defender. I am just teasing him” replied my brother. Both of them gave each other a scary stare.
“Both of you, stop fighting! Eric, don’t you have work to do?” said my Mom. “Yes mother” replied my brother.

I went back to that place. I was shocked on what I saw: Arrows everywhere, burn marks, blood, some armor, and heads of creatures that I don’t know of. “Wha-what is all of this?” I asked myself. Then, I saw a troll of some sort. It was wounded near its kidney. Its armor has been ripped apart, his head is full of blood. I ran to it, giving it water and food. I also healed its wounds. “Tell me, young boy, what is your name?” it asked me. “My name is Angelo” I replied. “I am very thankful on what you are doing to me, but this is a dangerous place. You are in a middle of a war against the Ice people and us. You better get away from her, Angelo” It said me. I did what he told, and ran through the forest.

I kept running and running, till I found my home. I entered, and everyone in the house is gone. I searched everywhere, but couldn’t find them. “Hello? Is anyone in here?” I shouted. I heard something at the back. I turned, and saw a creature with a knife in its hand.
