Custom HMS Driger - jayeryan - Mar. 12, 2009

Hey I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right area but here is a beyblade I've kinda customized.
It seems to go really well and it spins for around 3-4mins on a flat surface.

illegal as hell but it's pretty cool

RE: Custom HMS Driger - Khel - Mar. 12, 2009

incredibly nifty looking, I want to know how you did it. However like Brad said it is illegal. HMS and plastic components are not compatible. Making them work together is against the rules. Sorry dude...

RE: Custom HMS Driger - EverlastingBlader - Mar. 12, 2009

EXCEPT on that one HMS blade...but I forgot what it was..

Yeah i know its illegal Unhappy
It was quite difficult to get it working properly with the EG and all, but all I really did was make a smaller working EG (like smaller parts inside a smaller case) although it may not have as much power as a normal EG.

RE: Custom HMS Driger - Raykon - Mar. 12, 2009

What beyblade is the plastic part from?

What part do you mean?

RE: Custom HMS Driger - Bey Brad - Mar. 12, 2009

The Engine Gear.

RE: Custom HMS Driger - jayeryan - Mar. 12, 2009

Oh, the engine gear is made from some beyblade eg parts and some rc car parts like plastic molds. I had to make some of it from scratch though.

Nice job,how long did it take for you to build it?

Thx, it took around a week cause it was hard to figure out how I was gonna get the EG to actually work with all the little parts in it.

RE: Custom HMS Driger - Bey Brad - Mar. 12, 2009

I have to say this is one of the more impressive modifications I've seen. Would love to see video sometime.

RE: Custom HMS Driger - Guardian Odin - Mar. 12, 2009

I'm confused. How the hell does the engine gear release without a clutch system? Can I see a photo of the improvised running core?

RE: Custom HMS Driger - beybi - Mar. 12, 2009

That's awesome Great job!
I wouldn't care if its illiegal its still fun to make and muck around with! Smile

RE: Custom HMS Driger - Aqua - Mar. 12, 2009

That's pretty cool Smile I didn't think that would be possible.

RE: Custom HMS Driger - Khel - Mar. 12, 2009

Kinda with Anubis here. How did you modify the running core to house a working EG? You would need a clutch of some kind...

RE: Custom HMS Driger - Rocky - Mar. 12, 2009

I was under the impression that the EG didn't actually function as such and was merely a nice metal tip for the RC?

RE: Custom HMS Driger - Neku2 - Mar. 12, 2009

very cool looking

I would hope he wouldn't bother with RC parts if this was the case.

RE: Custom HMS Driger - Pich - Mar. 12, 2009

Looks pretty cool, I must say, but how is the EG working? (like Arjun and Anubis said)

RE: Custom HMS Driger - NAP - Mar. 12, 2009

Very, nice. It looks amazing! Grin
I love the mixture of the black and metal even more.

RE: Custom HMS Driger - jayeryan - Mar. 12, 2009

With the EG normally I think there is around 5-6 little plastic gear parts in it and a long piece of flat wire, all I did was make a smaller housing case for the gears which means I didn't need as many parts (only 3 gears to tighten up the wire) and just cut the length of the wire. So it works the same just with a few less gears cause it's compacted all closer together.
If you have ever taken a EG apart you will understand its quite simple how I made it.

RE: Custom HMS Driger - Bey Brad - Mar. 12, 2009

But what sets the EG off now?

RE: Custom HMS Driger - Neku2 - Mar. 12, 2009

can you make a video with it? I wanna see it in action!
