RE: Overlooked Plastic Parts Discussion - Mc Frown - Jul. 07, 2011

Ew whoever mentioned Draciel AR's they're all totally worthless.
I can't find but one good combo for Smash Turtle.

RE: Overlooked Plastic Parts Discussion - th!nk - Jul. 07, 2011

Okay, just played around with my cross griffon of questionable authenticity, and it hits harder than trygle, but has more recoil. Still, storm grip and a metal weight core seem to help.

...Also, it broke my carping war lion Crying

RE: Overlooked Plastic Parts Discussion - Mc Frown - Jul. 07, 2011

war lion breaks too easy ; ;

Master Draciel works well on defense combos.

Also, Turtle Survivor works for Zombies.

I wouldn't say its over looked though i think its to ligt for defence but for zombie c0mbos yeah it good

RE: Overlooked Plastic Parts Discussion - Ultra - Jul. 07, 2011

It's not gaia Dragoon S it's just gaia dragoon. Also it sucks. Doesn't need to be tested.

RE: Overlooked Plastic Parts Discussion - th!nk - Jul. 07, 2011

Pretty sure Frowny was referring to the regular Draciel line. 4layer, S, F ,V, V2, G.

McFrown's no fool.

Disagree, it's like using Dragoon Upper. It covers the WD. If you lack Dragoon Upper, you can use it instead.

RE: Overlooked Plastic Parts Discussion - Mc Frown - Jul. 07, 2011

Master/Kid Draciel's AR is mediocre at best.
What combo do you suggest I try with it? I have most important parts so I can give you some results.

RE: Overlooked Plastic Parts Discussion - th!nk - Jul. 07, 2011

Hmm. Standard weight-based defence combo:

AR: Master Draciel
WD: Wide Defence/10 Heavy (whatever you think is a better idea)
SG: Neo Right + HMC
BB: Draciel S w/ 4 ball bearings.

RE: Overlooked Plastic Parts Discussion - Ultra - Jul. 07, 2011

Um well it says it's very good on beywiki. One part that I can imagine is good for defence is Vortex ape's ar. Can anyone comment on the truth in this?

RE: Overlooked Plastic Parts Discussion - th!nk - Jul. 07, 2011

Ehh, Dragoon Upper covers the weight disk, reducing recoil, and is also quite heavy.
Galeon is used on Defense Grip Base 2 defence combo's, as it's compact, round, and free-spinning.

My Draciel S base is broken, at least til I get another two Bearings, as one bearing isn't rolling back for some reason. I guess with two bearings it won't be affected, though the legality is arguable. Uncertain

Curious though, has it been considered for compacts? Or is the underside hollowed out or something?

RE: Overlooked Plastic Parts Discussion - lord Wolfblade - Jul. 07, 2011

i was just thinking about Death Driger's AR (star shape)

first off: it is really compact (it is less wide then some of my MFB metal wheels)

second: i am thinking that the little notches it has can help with spin stealing.

so i was thinking:
AR: star shape (already explained why)
WD: best stamina/zombie weight disk
SP: not sure, whatever does best with the BB
BB: dranzer S's (it gives great life after death, one thing that i think star shape wont give)

RE: Overlooked Plastic Parts Discussion - Ultra - Jul. 07, 2011

I really doubt it man. Even if it does I think there are much better choices for spin stealers.

true, but i still think it could give it a use, and its compact size should do good

Not worthwhile, when there are better things like War Lion, Tiger Defense (every player should have at least one), Wing Cross, blah blah blah.

Also, Try Cutter (Polta) would be better, in that case, probably.

i have read that already and i know that those are better

but i am thinking that it may have been overlooked. i am not trying to make it the best, i am trying to give it a use so people with it wont say "why the carp did i buy this?", i think it may work, but i need tests for it and i cant provide it

also, i was talking to a guy with only plastics once at a tournament, he said that they where considering banning it because of it is so compact Smug (but he may have been wrong)

The heads have too much recoil.
And it's not very good, especially not for zombies.
Star Shape is terrible.
I don't like weight based Defense combos, I much prefer SG Bearing Version 2 variants.
Try Cutter is one of my all time favorite AR's because it works so well with Wide Defense for Weight Disk Attack.

I agree with everything in this post. Why are people even trying to find an over looked zombie AR? These combos almost totally dominated the meta-game when plastics were kicking, meaning there was tons of testing done to see what the consensus was on the best zombie AR. It came out being War Lion and Tiger Defense, so look no further.

And to answer McFrown's earlier question about why I chose Wide Survivor over Wide Defense; I just never thought of using it in the combo, as mine had a really nice red/purple design to it and my Wide Survivor was red. The combo wasn't spectacular at all, but it wasn't a bad choice for equalizing.

Also to McFrown on the state of Smash Turtle;
Anubis/Guardian Odin swore by this combo, but I never found it all that useful.

**With the BBA metal bit chip**
AR: Smash Turtle
WD: Wide Defense
SG: Neo Right HMC
BB: SG Metal Ball (4 Metal Balls)

RE: Overlooked Plastic Parts Discussion - Mc Frown - Jul. 08, 2011

Yeah looking back he always touted SG Metal Ball Base but tbh I can't stand using it.

RE: Overlooked Plastic Parts Discussion - th!nk - Jul. 08, 2011

Why, Mc Frown?

I've always loved the base, but not so much with Smash Turtle. With War Lion or Tiger Defense it was a very good compact part.

RE: Overlooked Plastic Parts Discussion - th!nk - Jul. 08, 2011

Compact? It's so tall. Sure you aren't thinking of metal ball base, draciel mbd's bb?

I also used Metal Ball Base, but yes SG Metal Ball can still have use in compact. IIRC - compact meant small and dense, which that still is albeit with a bit of added height.

(Jul. 08, 2011  1:04 AM)Evan Wrote: It came out being War Lion and Tiger Defense, so look no further.

yes, but what about those without either of those parts? what should they use?

lets have a example: there is a tournament coming up and a guy going to it wants to make an attack type, a defence type, and a zombie type. so he gets all his parts out.

he has good parts for attack and defence, but for the zombie he has no good ARs. so what does he use? what would be the best?

that is what i am saying. if you dont have one of the best parts then you have to make do with what you have (like i said already, i do not care if is the best, but as long as it can be used). that is a reason why we are discussing overlooked parts (note i said a reason, not the)

this is one of the things i dislike. people get so caught up with the best parts that they do not think of the people without axis or money to buy the good parts...
