The Dark Knight Rises - BeybladeStation - May. 15, 2011
Discuss the Movie here.
Anyone around the forum excited for it? The first one was amazing, just can't wait for the 2nd one! We've know that Bane, Catwoman, and Hugo Strange are in the movie.

ohhhh i love batman!and i actualy cant wait im already twitching from waiting for arkem city but i sorta hope pengain and the riddler are in.ivy would also be fun.

but then ivy would mostly be in since ivy ios banes leader.the stuff that makes bane big is ivys toxin.

Not in all interpretations of the character, most of the time, he can do it by himself.
Poison Ivy is certainly not in there. She's far too "comic-book-ish" for Nolan's style of movies.

Pot calling kettle black and all but jeeze terrible title much? This isn't an Origins movie, nor did Batman take a huge humbling in the last film (Okay there's Rachel - but oh well). So how can he rise if he never fell?

Hugo Strange is actually one of the most realistic villain in the Batman universe (Most of the time) A doctor working with insane folks gone mad because of said insane folks. It's something that could happen.

While I haven't watched a few of those movies in years - there are scenes from Batman Begins, and American Psycho in that trailer.
Also - filming for this movie just started last week.

Well, I consider all the Christoper Nolan movies to be in Batman's early years.
And Hugo Strange? That's great in my opinion.
I can't find what actor plays Hugo Strange but apparently a "Young Ra's Al Ghoul" will be in this movie according to IMDb

I kinda question why they would put Bane in there. He's kinda like an evil version of Captain America, or something, so it could be cool, but still...
I'm also kinda worried about "Young Ra's Al Ghoul" because the whole Ra's Al Ghoul thing from Batman Begins did not fair too well, for me. Kinda felt weird.

Though it was a leaked news thing that there would be 3 evil guys in it, for sure. So, after evaluation, Catwoman had to be vital and dominant in this movie. Bane ses to fit just perfectly. Again, this is DC and it ain't no Marvel. So Bane would probably be in the movie... Also they've announced some "new" characters not seen before. I like this idea for now, but the original characters deserve to be in the movie. It was also a bad idea when they took out Joker... He was the main protagonist. But Heath Ledger is very much dead XD
If they brought the Joker back with some new actor, the fans would probably just bash the poor guy, even if he did a good job, going "Heath Ledger was so much better! How can you insult a dead guy with your horrible acting like that?!" So it's probably better that they don't bring him back.
I'm also kinda doubtful about Catwoman. She could be done well, but if they make her in a similar way as the Catwoman movie or the original Batman movie, it'll be silly.

Bane seems like a logical choice. Like I said, in most interpretations, he's like an evil version of Captain America (Dude with super-human liquid injected into 'em) and also one of the least silly of the bunch of antagonists present in Batman comics, since he's basically just a really strong guy.
I kind of wanted to see the Riddler in here, though. He's also a very realistic villain: Just a madman who can't help it but to leave clues to solve his crimes all over the place. Since insanity takes many forms, it could happen. This is good, because the Batman movies, while excellent, haven't really used the fact that Batman is the world's greatest detective. So it would have been cool to see Batman's intellect at work.
