Hey who here like Mortal Kombat cuz I do.
It does have a lot of violence but thats what its famous for.

april 16th. i'm kind of excited. i really hope that it turns out to actually be a viable, competitive tournament worthy fighting game. balance really looks to be an issue though.

Mortal Kombat really needs the violence. I can picture in my head that playing Mortal Kombat without the gore will be a waste of my time. Also I think most people buy it for the gore because that's what I did.

I'd be surprised how many kids are playing the new mk. It really is over the top violence. .... but then again, i live in the usa so i wouldn't really be surprised.
The game looks awesome though. ( as a fighter, not the shock value) i really hope it becomes a viable tournament worthy game.

Psshaw Mortal Kombat invented violence in video games LOL seriously. Not sure if you guys remember but because of MK, the ESRB was born. I don't have MK9 yet but I've been playing the demo and it's siiiick. MK is the only 2D fighter I'll play.
Btw have you seen the MK television series? It's called Mortal Kombat: Legacy. It's pretty awesome. Check it out on machinima

I finally gave in and picked up mk yesterday. But i probably wont be playing it until the psnetwork comes back up.
I'll probably main sub zero and scorpian since they were my favorite characters (and everyone else's) in mk 1.

The Mortal Kombat creative director and co-creator can finally spill his guts regarding one of the most anticipated video-game crossovers of all time: Kratos’ exclusive guest appearance in the PS3 version of Mortal Kombat.Kratos should rip someone head of like he did Helios.Or if someone beats him,they should be able to make Kratos kill his family again.
