Back To The Future Thread - Dude - Apr. 03, 2011 Great Scott! There's no Back To The Future thread on the WBO yet? Man, this is heavy!! Come here and talk about one of the most popular and original series ever! Personally, my favourite movie is, like many people, the second one, because there's all that cool technology we'll never get XD RE: Back To The Future Thread - Guardian - Apr. 03, 2011 It sucks that they use to have the ride But they took it off RE: Back To The Future Thread - Dude - Apr. 03, 2011 Yeah, I heard about the ride. Was it any good? Never could check it out. RE: Back To The Future Thread - Guardian - Apr. 03, 2011 I liked it it was in universe studios RE: Back To The Future Thread - Thresher - Apr. 03, 2011 Anybody else find I funny that we should have hoverboards by now according to that? I also find it funny that they don't work on water, you would think that it could hover over just about any substance, but I guess not. RE: Back To The Future Thread - Dude - Apr. 04, 2011 BTTF isn't the only movie who imagined a future (Which is now our present) that never happened at all. For example, according to 2001: A space Odyssey, we're suppose to have had cool space stations and super-intelligent computers that could talk for like 10 years XD RE: Back To The Future Thread - Ga' - Apr. 05, 2011 I can't believe we didn't have a thread about this until now... Should've made it myself. Don't forget that apparently Libyan terrorists would have bombed a few places by this time, and the ads are alive! IT'S GOING TO EAT YOU OMG! XD But seriously, I kinda wish I live in that future, instead of this damaged world filled with real things (meh) like Global Warming, Recession, Fossil Fuel prices, etc. RE: Back To The Future Thread - Dusk - Apr. 05, 2011 I loved these movies! I watched all of them with my friend one night when we pulled an all nighter. I wish they had made a fourth. Some parts were pretty confusing though. (I watched them when I was in like third grade so it is probably not as confusing anymore). Well then, you should play the downloadable game for the PS3 (Or PC and Ipad, I believe) it's basically the fourth movie, since it happens six months after the third movie and explains a few things left unanswered in the movies. But that'd be a more fitting discussion for the Video Game forum XD RE: Back To The Future Thread - Minidona - Apr. 05, 2011 I love Back To The Future! They should make the 4. My favorite is the second one. RE: Back To The Future Thread - Thresher - Apr. 07, 2011 In the 1980s, the movie "Back To The Future 2" was filmed, and set in 2010. They had flying skateboards, flying cars, and shoes that tie themselves. Now, it's 2011, and last year we got Bendaroos, Pillow Pets, and Snuggies. Back To The Future= better thatn real life. RE: Back To The Future Thread - Dude - Apr. 07, 2011 Actually, the second movie was set in 2015. Science still has four years to invent all that stuff XD (We probably shouldn't get our hopes up) RE: Back To The Future Thread - Unlucky - Apr. 07, 2011 Some people actually have shoes that tie themselves... They use the pressure of your feet to power a motor that ties the laces....It's still a prototype though.... RE: Back To The Future Thread - Dude - Apr. 07, 2011 Hah, that's one step in the right direction XD But I doubt a flying car will become alvaible in the next four years XD RE: Back To The Future Thread - Odin - Apr. 07, 2011 Loved these movies. They were great to watch. And anyway, there is a flying car. I read an article in a Boy's Life. I believe it said that is was selling for about $2.5 million dollars. Or something like that, anyway. Doubt the public will be able to use that for a while. RE: Back To The Future Thread - Ga' - Apr. 07, 2011 BOY'S LIFE! Haven't gotten that magazine since I was a second-year Boy Scout (I stopped second-year). But I've seen all of those little ads in the back. They offered one made from a vacuum cleaner. The section name? Gifts and Gimmicks. And Thresher, of course movies are better than real life. This is Hollywood we're talking about. My post was a satirical response(based on a Facebook meme) to your comment, but I forgot to quote you. As for movies being better than real life...[Image: 600full-the-book-of-eli-screenshot.jpg] There is a reason I specifically named Back to the Future. On another note, if they remade the Back to the Future movies, or made a sequel who would you like to see in it? RE: Back To The Future Thread - Dude - Apr. 08, 2011 Christopher Lloyd, of course. He was in a good enough shape to do a very similar voice to Doc in the video game (Which means his voice hasn't changed much in like 30 years) However, I doubt making a sequel would be wise. I mean, Christopher Lloyd would be cool, but who would they cast as Marty? Would they even put Marty in? If you ask me, it'd piss fans off more than anything. Let's not forget that it's not just the concept of time traveling that brought everyone to like the series so much, but mostly the characters. |
