UPDATE: i thought this was worthy of a double post:
here's some picss of a working proto type, made from a fly wheel launcher, and i carved the handle out of styrofoam, and used packing tape to keep it together, the finished verion will be completly homemade except for the prongs....

good question, if you look over the OP's drawing you will see that when the pieces are put together, it ends up being like a string launcher(with more power) and a built in grip, a good grip, i might add.

i've been thinking about making half of the axis's casing removable in the finalversion so you can reverse wind the string making it left spin, the only problem is materials(and how i use them lol) and the prongs, they r going to attach to the axis and wont be removable...maybe make 2 axis's? hmm... idk i'll think about it later...

well bad news guys, i made the axle and it broke so i will need to mold it...AGAIN for the 4th time, i probally shouldnt make it out of clay...lol

well now im considering making the axle peice out of wood, just because i freaking own with wood, and i have been thinking about making it out card board and duct tape with hot glue
