This is a combination my team and myself were testing years ago. We had some success, actually. I really need to test that combination again when I have access to the necessary parts. We named it "Whirlwind Diamond". It was originally meant to be a compact killer but I am honestly not sure if it works consistently. I just remember having success with it. The weight disk was Wide Defense.
It is important to use the Hasbro Flying Defense and not the Takara version.
You can try it. I'd like to know what it can do.

The combo I remember using it in was:
AR: Trypio
WD: Wide Survivor/Defense/Ten-Wide
SG: Neo Right MW/MG core
BB: Metal Flat (Gaia Dragoon V)
That's how I think it'd perform better, but I used Driger F's shaft on Wolborg's casings + BB since I don't own GDV.
It was used mainly to defeat lightweight survival/endurance combos in Hasbro stadiums. While regular attackers would suck there, this had less of a chance to pocket itself because of the size of the AR. What it does is pushing the opposing blade around, hopefully into a pocket. The AR also has good attack range. The rest of the parts are meant to be lightweight so it can move fast all around the stadium, bouncing off walls, and so it lasts slightly longer (it needs to be lightweight since the AR already slows it down considerably).
It won't do much vs defense combos, which will barely be affected by its hits and just end up out-spinning it, but I think survival types are most common in Hasbro stadiums like Dranzer Flame Field and they're the ones it's meant to beat. Attackers aren't much of a concern since they rarely ever see any use there.
This combo is obviously useless in Takara stadiums though.

Can't remember each of the differences or how they would enhance this combo but basicaly, it's made differently to the Takara one. It's more cirular, possibly a tad heavier and it doesn't have the angled wings that make it 'fly'.

Ahh, I'd test it but I don't have wide defense. Thabks for clearing that up. Do you think 10 wide would hinder the performance of it too much?

Probably not that much.
Also Hasbro Flying Defense does not have the angled blades. It does not push air. Its aerodynamic efficiency is much higher (still not that high but much higher than Takara Flying Defense).
