This was my interpretation of this topic.

RE: Cricket Lovers - Anu - Jan. 18, 2009

I meant Sport... Lol

RE: Cricket (sport) Lovers - Rocky - Jan. 18, 2009

I used to be in the Quick Cricket team at Primary School. That's about as close as I've ever come to liking cricket. Uncertain
I personally think it's one of those sports that is fun to play but dull to watch.....

Isn't it like that with every sport? I could never watch an entire game of something. Pinching_eyes_2

lol, I'm glad the topic title was changed, I honestly thought this was about annoying bug lovers.

As in, lovers of annoying bugs.

That are only annoying when it's 2 in the morning and one is still cricketing somewhere unidentifiable.

Anyways~

I've never played it, but I agree with Shikamaru, it sounds interesting.

I've seen cricket matches on TV before, it reminds me of baseball.

RE: Cricket (sport) Lovers - Rocky - Jan. 18, 2009

They have like underwater scrums and tackles and stuff. I dunno how they can hold their breath that long. D:

RE: Cricket (sport) Lovers - Sega - Jan. 18, 2009

South Africa bet Australia the other day...
Then Australia came back at them today with like 6 balls left...

RE: Cricket (sport) Lovers - Raykon - Jan. 21, 2009

That was kinda off topic.

Cricket can be interesting when they play the 20-20 format. Any longer than that and I begin to get bored. The multiple day matches are torture. I did however like the IPL (Indian Premier League) that was played in the Summer. Definitely breathed new life into the game with international players. Other than that however I don't follow the sport well enough to make comments about players or teams.

PS. I find it funny how the first thing most people from NA thought of was the actual insect.

RE: Cricket (sport) Lovers - Justaway - Apr. 21, 2012

Funny reading the things up there. Well, the IPL is in its 5th season now and is more exciting these days due to players like Chris Gayle, Pollard and Kevin Pietersen. Enjoying the game after a long time since India last won a series XD

This really is not meant to be fascist or anything N0body, but the stereotype over here is that cricket is for Indians. Is it really popular around there compared to other sports? Just curious!

Edit: 3 hours later, I realize spellcheck changed racist to fascist, haha

RE: Cricket (sport) Lovers - Beyblader#14793 - Apr. 21, 2012

i love but i always lose by 1 run out of 50 Pinching_eyes_2

RE: Cricket (sport) Lovers - apple1075 - Apr. 21, 2012

CRicket is hugely popular in India but the kids in my area, nipani, seem to play football more, they all come and play on our back garden, but every now and then we play cricket, funny cause they don't give one about safety, they use a leather ball without pads it anything, they don't even wear shoes, I always carp myself when I'm batting and a really tall bloke who bowls bouncers frequently is running up to bowl

Popular? It is over popular, Cricket is more popular than our national sport as well(which is Hockey). It is like, you either play cricket or play nothing. Even football is secondary to cricket here..which is quite surprising actually. And, well people may tend to think it is for Indians only due to the fact that Indians are mad behind this sport like anything. Especially after India won the World Cups(T20 and ODI) under MS Dhoni.. But yeah, its England's national game anyway XD

EDIT: This is the first time you haven't referred to me as S0mebody, XD

RE: Cricket (sport) Lovers - SpikeBeyRaahul - Aug. 24, 2012

The ICC Cricket T-20 world Cup coming up this monday(17.9.12.) India Vs Pakistan opening match.

RE: Cricket (sport) Lovers - Justaway - Sep. 13, 2012

WTH! The first match itself is India vs Pakistan! I wonder how the Asian giants will fare in this World Cup. :\

I'm backing New Zealand and South Africa for the T20WC. I hope one/both of them makes it to the finals.
