RE: Winning Combinations. - ƛnubis - Jul. 11, 2011

230 is hard to obtain?! They just buy Hell Kerbecses and ignore Basalt and Byxis

RE: Winning Combinations. - th!nk - Jul. 11, 2011

Your post reads like you're referring to TH170.

Let them have their carpy metagame. If it's near you, head over and abuse it. If it's not, why do you care?

RE: Winning Combinations. - ƛnubis - Jul. 11, 2011

Okay has anybody posted the winning combos for may-blades yet?

This seems extremely funny... It sounds as if this is taking place in an area which is 'cut-off' from the outside world.. A place where people have no idea of what's going on in the world... Well, TH170 did devastate 230 as it arrived. Surprisingly, it did not come in all of a sudden as a 230-wrecker, but came slowly and steadily, making place for itself in the top tiers. It had to go through a lot of tests before it reached here.
Well, still when it did come up, 230 was...... vaporized into space... Good. carp for Tat.
Hey, LLD BD145RF is top tier too? Or is it near top tier? I mean, the tip is RF...

RE: Winning Combinations. - Hov - Jul. 12, 2011

Nuh uh, in my experince is... BasaltKerbex230WD vs MF LDDBD145RF =L. WD is gaining popularity again!

230WD isn't "weird" by any means. The Meteo L Drago custom is a bit strange, but not completely so.

RE: Winning Combinations. - RustyXD - Jul. 12, 2011

Well IMO the latter one is , the first one is quite strange for my metagme but i am sure others think that my metagme is weird as well. Were i come from 230 is only used with D and rarely CS , but should have said weird my bad Tired

really 230WD
ive been using that a lot lol
most of us actully use CS for attack not defense
there are barely any defense customs
ppl mainly use BD145, really carp combos, fresh beys ( no custom), Basalt, Hell ( these wheels are spammed everywhere) and any weird like/really good parts
(Sycthe,TH170,AD145 etc)
EDIT: the MS RX was using was to worn for my liking
the RS valentine used wasn't that aggressive, compared to the MS
MS was acting like a MF imo though im not the one to argue

RE: Winning Combinations. - th!nk - Jul. 12, 2011

Basalt 230wd is a bit odd, as D generally works better at 230, iirc (did we test that?)

D does work better, yes, but 230WD has always been popular. I used to use it myself before ControL_ mentioned that he had been using 230D instead of WD, which got me thinking "Wait ... 230WD really isn't a smart choice".

It's interesting because prior to 230D, I feel like D fell into disuse for a long stretch after SD was released. Maybe it's just me, but for the longest time it felt as if the question was "Should I use WD or SD?", with no regard given to D.

RE: Winning Combinations. - Sky Prince - Jul. 12, 2011

only one i find weird is this one:
(Jul. 12, 2011  2:58 AM)Flaming Aries Wrote: In Best in the west

3. killerperseus99 used Basalt Pegasus II W105ES

then again, it is a 3rd place bey but how it made it to the finals makes me wonder how bad the other competitors were...

i actually tried this literally 3 seconds ago and it wasn't anything special... i gets koed too easily by Basalt ____ 230WD and LDD BD145MF on all heights...

I like EWD over WD, so would D be a better choice over EWD? I've won quite a bit with EWD.

RE: Winning Combinations. - Flaming Aries - Jul. 12, 2011

Sky Prince let me just say this it beat MF-H Basalt Aquario 230CS.

RE: Winning Combinations. - th!nk - Jul. 12, 2011

I can see how it might, actually, eternal nature of the tip etc.

i'm not talking stamina wise... of course it would beat it... it has basalt to ensure it's victory... i'm talking defense wise.... that thing is so easy to beat... unless the metagame there is like 100% stamina and noobish attackers.

RE: Winning Combinations. - Deikailo - Jul. 13, 2011

Oh so you mean like New York?

hmm. that's weird... any basalt combo the meteo combo went up against, meteo would get Koed instantly.... it might be
A) i launch too hard for both or
B) the people who launched them didn't launch hard enough....
and i'm saying this over countless tests i did all day today....
(Jul. 13, 2011  5:49 AM)Deikailo Wrote: Oh so you mean like New York?

oh gee thanks. you make me and ikmv very well welcome in NY. but yeah, let's get back on topic of the combos... not the metagame.

RE: Winning Combinations. - Flaming Aries - Jul. 13, 2011

Yes but when someone launches lightly meteo spin steals and out spins the other blade

... if u launch basalt hard enough... or not even too hard, basalt's recoil pushes meteo. doesn't really have to be mutual speed....
