There's definitely variance here, and it means that most of them are worse than yours.

Does it? Or are only people with weak springs noticing and talking about it. The difference in numbers between mostly normal and weak springs isn't that huge.

It's possible that only particularly bad ones are talking about it, however I recall a fairly large percentage talking about this issue when Quattro first released. It just doesn't feel very likely that only the people I know and talk regularly got weaker springs over everyone else, that just seems rather unlikely at best.

Not sure which numbers you're talking about here either, unless you're talking rote spring strength numbers upon which case I can say little because I don't have any method to measure that short of pressing by hand and guessing. Not a very good system, that.

I think they're referring to JCMakeEmBurst's two Dynamite Perseus combos that both use Bearing' and The Supreme One's two Dynamite combos that both use Over, Bearing', and the 10 armor.

I'm pretty sure that this is simply different combos from separate sets of 3 for the finals. since there is a minimum of two matches for a deck format stage of tournaments, there could easily be two different sets of combos they use in finals, semi-finals, quarter finals etc.

Put it simply, you can't have a repeating part for a deck in one setting, but there are so many variations that could be used by the time you got to the final round, which is why there are combos indicated for the final rounds with same parts on them.

I can confirm that getting 1st place, JC had 3 matches in the finals. I can also confirm that he used a different deck in match 3 than the first two matches.

People can change their deck between matches.

Truuue! Honestly want to try that bad boy out, along with our 48 mode Achilles.

Gosh that’s going to be a nightmare for WC, I can see a scenario playing out in my head;

“The one combo I used all tournament was Zest Achilles Nx+S Qt’-4”
“Okay… what mode, or modes? Did you use just one, or multiple?”
“I think I used multiple, but I can’t remember which ones”
“Do you remember how many you used?”
“No”

And the scenario continues on and on until everyone gives up because they can’t figure out what the person actually used for the entire tournament

At least the thread only lists the combos, not the modes... right?

I think so. I see a lot of Nx+S but they don't say what mode. Same for Hxt+' and DB Layers (High/Low)

RE: Winning Combinations at WBO Organized Play Events - TheRogueBlader - Jul. 15, 2022

Yeah combos don’t usually list the modes. Or the spin direction for that matter, though that would count as a mode.

True. Still, 48+ modes will make it difficult for clarity

To be fair, I don't think it'll be particularly good looking at its shape. I doubt it'll be such a big worry.

I personally don't think it will cause clarity issues. 48 modes is in reference to the full Zest Achilles combo itself (2 spin directions x 3 Layer configurations x 2 High/Low x 4 Quattro settings). If you take Quattro out of the equation and High/Low, that's more like 6 relevant modes to mention: namely which spin direction and which Layer mode it's in.

Since we had so many tall sharps like Has Kick,  society responds.  This made sense even in 3on3 first stage yesterday.  Ultimately, winner used nothing too new or too “Broken.”
