I'm asking as a shamed Kick advocate who's hoping against hope that someone made it work for them. For defaultnoobisme he only used the combo a few times but Tempest Fafnir uses stock vanish pretty hard core and came back from a 0-4 deficit in finals. He lost the match but it ended up being 4-5 and he only used the vanish combo to get the 4 points. I’ve learned that some bladers can just make combos work, not to sound cliche or odd, but I know Tempest Fafnir and Roneothebot specifically practice with 1 or 2 combos over and over and over again and they’re able to make those stock combos perform better than most because of how much time and effort they put into them. So overall Kick did “ok” but in the right hands it can do amazing! It would be nice to have some balancing done with the format, just have a few people take a serious look at it and how it would work without certain parts. My only concern is that without judgement and co it might be a very passive format. Thise 3 are still just the opposite spin LAD king drivers. Against attack combinations it seemed very scattered. Some times it was getting KOed super fast and consecutively, and other times it stood it’s ground firmly without issues. That probably boils down to the rest of the combo used and the skill of the bladers though. High Xtend+’ complete dominates Bearing/Bearing’ in same spin. But when you get into opposite spin it seems to be more in Bearings favor. It can still be close. But I think Bearing drivers pull ahead more often than not. So basically now we have a driver to check Bearing in same spin.(Dec. 14, 2021 1:51 PM)CrisisCrusher07 Wrote: Silver Spring’s 2021 Finale! 12/12/2021I’m curious, how did high Xtend+’ do in opposite spin against drift and mobius? Perhaps based on the success of Zn’+Z at this event, I should add that too, to the list.(Dec. 16, 2021 5:39 AM)TheRogueBlader Wrote: I’m curious, how did high Xtend+’ do in opposite spin against drift and mobius? I find interesting that geetster’s deck for the double bearing double drift event is very similar to the deck geetster played at this event. Bearing essentially was bumped off in the list by HXt+’. Of course, I was not there and I don’t know how the combos were actually deployed. I am only going by the lists RE: Winning Combinations at WBO Organized Play Events - CrisisCrusher07 - Dec. 16, 2021 (Dec. 16, 2021 3:33 PM)Shindog Wrote:(Dec. 16, 2021 3:11 PM)CrisisCrusher07 Wrote: High Xtend+’ against Drift/Metal Drift and Mobius lost when it came to opposite spin match ups. Perhaps based on the success of Zn’+Z at this event, I should add that too, to the list. Honestly I might be able to be swayed off of double Bearing. Although I’m still iffy on it because HXt+’ just checks the same spin bearing and not the opposite spin. But I still feel that double drift is a real big issue. Granted Mobius is essentially a second drift and acts as one. Just look at Zektor and @“LJ-Blader” and their deck choices. They essentially had a right spin drift and left spin drift combo they just used Mobius instead. Luckily Mobius can fall over and that can cause it to lose more matches than a second drift would. Mobius just kind of needs to be lucky as to weather or not it falls over or not. Granted it seems like the risk of falling over happens less with the prominence combo they used. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone wants to give HXt+’ the edge either. I think the point I am/was trying to make is that Zektor and LJ-Blader did essentially play “double drift” like you mentioned, if you want to call it that. If you “awaken” mobius a bit, it won’t fall over much I don’t think. If we are saying they are playing double drift without double drift…. Why are we worried about double drift? How has that problem been solved? Actually, if you looks at this event in which my son and I set out to play double drift without double drift…. https://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Winning-Combinations-at-WBO-Organized-Play-Events?pid=1804675#pid1804675 This was what I was trying to show. RE: Winning Combinations at WBO Organized Play Events - Shindog - Dec. 16, 2021 Honestly, there are so many max or very high LAD options now. I really do feel like we have finally reach the point where the way to set your self apart is to KO the LAD combos. Counting only on LAD+Same spin isn’t all that safe. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying attack is going to all of the sudden dominate the WBO. You can still spamina for the win for sure, this is beyblade burst. I just think we should give attack players all the options available. Frankly, I am not even really an “attack” player, historically.
