I'm surprised you're surprised; at the very least, Xtreme will obviously become the Driver of choice for Attack-types.

Sick. Nice to see a compact combo do well.

RE: Winning Combinations. - MissingNo. - Jan. 14, 2016

@[Time], how performed Ronin Girago 85MF ? Do you know how geetster99 launched it ?

RE: Winning Combinations. - Kei - Jan. 14, 2016

I'm curious about that too. Especially considering that I can only assume he used it for almost all of hit matches if it's his only winning combination. Nobody had an answer? What did it play against? It seems like geetster somehow always manages to do so well with low-Track MF combinations ...

RE: Winning Combinations. - TimeOut - Jan. 14, 2016

In the first round of the tournament, I was using my Scythe Hades LW105 MF and he was using it and from there we agreed that if we met in the finals (we were in opposite blocks) we would throw them at each other and see who won. He won fairly handily. I don't know if it's my place to reveal his tricks, so I'll leave that up to @[geetster99] to decide whether or not he wants to share his technique with everyone, but I will say that it's not something I had ever thought about before and that it's pretty rare these days for someone to come up with a new technique that genuinely surprises me. Especially one that I'm not even enough aware of to diagnose during battle and counter. However, what I can go ahead and say is that it has a lot to do with the same versatility reasons that I tend to play MF combos as well, as described here: http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-MFB-Limited-Competitive-Customs-List-and-Public-Discussion?pid=1298374#pid1298374 (see posts above and below)

RE: Winning Combinations. - geetster99 - Jan. 14, 2016

The super secret sauce launching technique

RE: Winning Combinations. - MissingNo. - Jan. 14, 2016

Dude, you could've called it the Big Mac secret sauce launch and make it super secret and stuff.

Hahaha, anyway, thanks man.

RE: Winning Combinations. - Bey Brad - Jan. 14, 2016

Man, I really need to reshoot that video ...

RE: Winning Combinations. - TimeOut - Jan. 14, 2016

@[geetster99] that's not what I was talking about lol, I was talking about the launching in the middle of the stadium to make sure you're coming at your opponent from below lol

RE: Winning Combinations. - Kei - Jan. 23, 2016

Not a WBO Organized Play event, but my friend Jumbo・わりベイ told me that these were the winning combos for two G1 Events at the World Hobby Fair in Tokyo:

RICK・わりベイ
Deathscyther Heavy Defense
Valkyrie Heavy Extreme

MIYU・わりベイ
Deathscyther Heavy Defense
Odin Heavy Defense

In both cases, Deathscyther Heavy Defense was used for everything but the finals.

RE: Winning Combinations. - Manicben - Jan. 23, 2016

New Year's Revolutions - 23 January 2016

The Results...

3rd - Manicben
Odin Heavy Defense

2nd - @[Balance Blader]
Odin Heavy Defense
Ragnaruk Heavy Survive (Ok, this was a troll match against me, RHS vs RHS Grin )

1st - @[guardianemperor]
Valkyrie Heavy Accel
Valkyrie Heavy Survive
Odin Heavy Defense
Chaos Heavy Defense

Well Odin Heavy Defense reigns supreme over here. @[ClaraM] tried to use Amaterios Ring Xtreme, but that ended up bursting 3 times really quickly... Possibly due to teeth wear.
Chaos does quite well against Odin it seems. Of course it depends on who launches harder and if you can get some hits in, Chaos does burst. I however could not burst Chaos with my Odin at all in my first match against Clara, so I lost that, but in my second match against her, my launch was stronger so I ended up winning, despite somehow cutting my finger and bleeding. Yes, I bled for 3rd place, for beating Clara and for blayblay... Tongue_out

RE: Winning Combinations. - Kai-V - Jan. 24, 2016

I think we really might have to consider banning Odin Heavy Defense immediately, because I also won most of my battles today with it and other placers also heavily abused it hah. I mean, we can wait to see if Neptune outclasses it or can counter it, and then see how Yggdrasil does, but how long do we wait before stopping this obvious new Libra ... This is a lot more of a problem than any F230GCF/CF, and almost everyone was complaining about that so much.

Well, let's see if there is a counter, I know that @[Mitsu] had said that Xcalibur Heavy Xtreme was doing well against OHD. I will try to get some Testings going to see if this is the case.

I think that we've had enough releases to try and defeat Odin, but it's been too hard. If there is a counter, than I think it would be OK to keep it unbanned.

An option could possibly be doing a trial ban on OHD, if it continues to be difficult.

RE: Winning Combinations. - Kai-V - Jan. 24, 2016

Few even dare use Xtreme in Burst though, more so than RF in Metal Fight Beyblade, from what I understand.

Xtreme is too fast and uncontrollable at first, but when worn, it gains some more stamina, has more control and is able to keep a flower pattern more. But the stamina is certainly not enough to outspin, along with being limited to only some layers due to self bursting. Even then, it's hard to master Xtreme and get the right amount of speed so it gives good hits and won't self burst. Xtreme can be effective, but seems to be risky.

RE: Winning Combinations. - loyd87 - Jan. 24, 2016

Deathscyther Spread Survive could be a good matchup against OHD. I tested it with Kai-V after the tournament we had today. I have to make an extended test to have an accurate statement.

else I see If I recall it corectly, Spriggan Force Survive doing well against Kai-V's OHD during the tournament. almost breaked by burst finished only. I think we have to explore more before banned it right now. ok it was over used because its the best go to to have underhands.

I see something about OHN and it probably get better results then OHD.

IMO, we have to explore more combinations before banned OHD.

RE: Winning Combinations. - Kai-V - Jan. 24, 2016

Deathscyther Spread Survive is only a counter against certain people using Odin Heavy Defense. Honestly for some reason I was really not launching at full power after the tournament when we tested, just the way we were positioned around the stadium or something.

RE: Winning Combinations. - loyd87 - Jan. 24, 2016

may be against missingno. I got a fifty-fifty results

I don't think it's fair to make such a conclusion right now considering not everyone even has Xtreme yet, most likely ... In all likelihood, the usage amount will probably end up being similar to RF in Metal Fight Beyblade.

RE: Winning Combinations. - loyd87 - Jan. 25, 2016

I'm curious to see what we have as winning combination at our tournament. I know OHD mainly used by us but I think Valentin used something else too don't know if he has win with it...
