This has begun to worry me. Baasalt is dominating the metagame and plenty of people are keen to use it. I think its libra all over again so i made this thread to see what the public says on banning basalt.

Considering Libra is already unbanned, I doubt anyone here would want to ban Basalt, and Libra was banned because of its weight distribution, not the weight itself. So, it's probably a no for everyone. It's a no for me though.

For right now, Basalt needs to be tested more. Staff and Advanced Members will observe if Basalt is actually taking over the metagame in terms of tournaments.

even though basalt is heavy,if your opponent is using a very tall height,then use a low attacker(but it is obvious that no one will do that combination).maybe if we can make libra's weight effective enough to smash it away.....

I dont think they will ban it or that it should be banned as Basalt has been designed with a slight bulge in the metal wheel which puts it more off balance as it runs out of spin/energy. This is Takara-Tomy's way of making it fair. However, it still is awesome in stamina combos.

I think not since LLD 90RF can still beat it if it is using RS as what I have tested. Plus another Basalt combo can kill it as what i have tested.

I agree with OkiBlaze. The decision is still too early to be made. More tests are still required and I believe that it needs to be tested in multiple tournament environments before WBO should actually decide to ban it. It wouldnt be fair to lock it up even before we see it being used competitively considering its official release was just a few weeks ago.

Unfortunately, the "customization" section isn't for this kind of discussion. Unless of course, you have results of Basalt doing insanely better than Libra. Sorry though, thread has been reported for lack of results in the customization section.

Advanced members will most likely open a thread for when/if it becomes an issue. Currently, it's too early to be concerning about this.
