As much as I despise Guitar Hero and rhythm games in general now, I had such fun playing Last Child on GHII when it came out. More fun than actually playing on guitar.

There are parts that are pure synth. Most notably during the bridge before the solo, but sitting through that would be agonizing.
And yea Roan, call me an elitist...but I can't stand Guitar Hero anymore. Due to it's artificial guitar parts. Santeria by Sublime is a perfect example of this. During the intro the draw notes out for much longer than they should be, add in like 3 notes. During the verses they throw in random chucks and upstrokes where there aren't any, and during the choruses they do the same things they do in the intro.

Anyway I get what you're saying, but I don't play guitar in these games anyway, I'm a drummer and as far as I can tell the drum charts on expert are pretty carp accurate in Rock Band 1/2.

I'm the same way. In RB1 I can beat up to the last tiers on expert. I love RB for it's drums since they are the actual drum charts, on four pads. Not that much of a difference..though cymbal technique is challenging irl

dude it's not a simulation. just a video game.
i agree that adding that carp in can get annoying,
when you know that its not really accurate,
but people who don't play guitar usually won't notice it.

I know for sure its in RB/RB2 (I have it) but I don't know about GH.
