RE: Questions about the WBO - Primal - Jan. 14, 2012

The sellers I mentioned are 100% reliable, no matter which one you choose to buy from. There are others that I didn't mention who are just as reliable, but those 4 are just off the top of my head. Trust me, they're fine Tongue_out

Most sellers absolutely require the use of Paypal.

Paypal is extremely safe, its reputation is very high, so your parents should know about it.

As long as you always mark transactions like this as being "a purchase of goods" instead of putting it as "gift" just to avoid the few extra fees, everything will be fine. If you write it as a "gift" transaction, then if there is a problem in the future where, for instance, you never receive your items, then you will be unable to file a dispute against the seller, because you said it was just a gift, like a donation.

Also, if you hesitate on one of the sellers, you can always send me a private message to get my opinion on them. For most I should be able to tell you if they are reliable.

Tell your parents that 99% of transactions like this use paypal which brokers the transaction for you without any exchange of credit card information...

RE: Questions about the WBO - Karl - Jan. 14, 2012

Oh, my dad uses paypal when he buys stuff from ebay! thanks! i will talk to him when he's in a good mood and i got allowence Tongue_out_wink
not that he's usually in a bad mood but it wouldn't be a good idea if i asked him when he's stressed from work or something :\
he said he doesn't want to buy from a forum. (no clue why)

RE: Questions about the WBO - Kai-V - Jan. 14, 2012

You could always buy from dimsum2u on his eBay account, but you will not get the discounted prices for World Beyblade Organization members.

RE: Questions about the WBO - TehPest - Jan. 14, 2012

my friend and i started beyblade we are 23....i know this is mostly played by kids but we find it fun, are there any other adults who play this? or should we stop because we are way too old?

RE: Questions about the WBO - Kai-V - Jan. 14, 2012

A lot of members here are around that age, and some are even older. Of course, most of our userbase consists of kids, but if you find time in your schedule to enjoy the game, then this organisation welcomes you. We have no age limits for our tournaments.

RE: Questions about the WBO - TehPest - Jan. 14, 2012

so tournaments consist of all ages? thats cool, i was hoping we wouldn't walk in and have people ask us which one is your kid?, i live in IL btw, what are some places that may have meet ups or mini tournaments?

RE: Questions about the WBO - Kai-V - Jan. 14, 2012

Hm, Illinois has had a few tournaments in the past, but they were not done properly at all. One of the hosts even had to be banned. In any case, since you are both adults, perhaps you can look at our rules, see if you have everything, and try to host one ? There are certainly enough Bladers in Illinois, and some have been waiting for a while because the latest kept getting postponed.

RE: Questions about the WBO - Arupaeo - Jan. 14, 2012

There are some older players in western MI who are looking for a tournament in the Chicago area as well - so if you guys hosted a tournament up there I know that you find others to play who are in your age range as well.

RE: Questions about the WBO - TehPest - Jan. 14, 2012

im not sure if my friend and i are able to host yet, we are fresh out of the box new, but its possible, ill look into it and see what i can arrange.

RE: Questions about the WBO - Hazel - Jan. 14, 2012

We have guides for hosting, and many experienced users ready and willing to help you with setting up a tournament. The best thing you can do is just never be afraid to ask questions, and second guess yourself constantly your first few times - consulting others is extremely important for organizing these events, so definitely utilize the knowledge bases of our experienced members!

RE: Questions about the WBO - Primal - Jan. 15, 2012

Is there a way to view posts that were made on a certain day? I don't think that there is, but it'd be kind of useful.

RE: Questions about the WBO - EPIC PINOY - Jan. 15, 2012

I think a WBO app would be nice so you could check it on the go instead of typing it on safari

RE: Questions about the WBO - Shabalabadoo - Jan. 15, 2012

See guys, that's exactly what I mean. You all agree that soooo many people have suggested an App? Makes sense that it's an opportunity from my perspective; am I right or just babbling on like usual?

RE: Questions about the WBO - Hazel - Jan. 15, 2012

It is not as though we have not discussed it amongst ourselves; currently, though, there is a bit of a stalemate about it. The method of implementation is, if I recall, what we came to said stalemate about.

RE: Questions about the WBO - Username Banned - Jan. 16, 2012

How do I make my thread(s) more popular?

RE: Questions about the WBO - Byerg - Jan. 16, 2012

Seriously?
They become popular by being something that's worth talking about..there is no way to just force them into popularity.

Re: an app, my current access is limited to my mobile. Am I having trouble? Nope.

Use favourites and email subscriptions, unless favorites and email is something iPhones don't do and my galaxy s does?

RE: Questions about the WBO - KevNinja - Jan. 16, 2012

how do you post a picture from a sd card

RE: Questions about the WBO - Poseidon - Jan. 16, 2012

That isn't particularrly a question about the organisation. Just look it up on google.

RE: Questions about the WBO - bigbanglinx1 - Jan. 18, 2012

Is the passport for the wbo a actual card or is it just virtual.

RE: Questions about the WBO - Hazel - Jan. 18, 2012

Just virtual. You get a facebolt under your Avatar that proves you have one.

RE: Questions about the WBO - Kai-V - Jan. 18, 2012

It is virtual. You get a Passport Face to represent it in your profile. It is just a "concept", the fact that you have free access to all of our events for a year.

Hosts have access to a list of all the current Passport Holders, so at their tournaments they should always check it to see if this or that member really does have a Blader Passport.
