RE: What to Buy in MFB: Revamp - 桃太郎 - Dec. 28, 2010
I know we need to run tests when Metal Flat has been released, but I think that there is no competitive aspect to WB anymore, and thus, should not be in bold.
RE: What to Buy in MFB: Revamp - Mc Frown - Dec. 28, 2010
Oh, I put Rock Giraffe up there because people are diggin' on R145, and WB is just a bonus :V
I've been debating over putting Burn/Rock in the Attack Section. I've also been struggling with reccomending Grand Ketos/Ray Gil, with MF so close, I almost want to hold off until I see results. I don't want anyone making errant purchases.
RE: What to Buy in MFB: Revamp - OkiBlaze - Dec. 28, 2010
IMO, you should add Pisces to defense, and un-bold Flame for stamina.
RE: What to Buy in MFB: Revamp - 桃太郎 - Dec. 28, 2010
I honestly haven't received fantastic results with Burn or Rock as an Attack Wheel, so I think you should leave Burn bolded as Stamina, and Rock away from the list.
I also agree with Oki. Metal System Pisces is a decent Defense Wheel.

Well Flame Byxis is a must buy anyways, and Flame is just an added bonus? Same with WB on Rock Giraffe, and Ray in Attack. Flame also does extremely well in some niche survival and destabilizing combos.
And I would've sworn I'd already added Pisces.
Do you all think I should include in a different section the overall best products to buy on a budget or no?
RE: What to Buy in MFB: Revamp - 桃太郎 - Dec. 28, 2010
I personally think you should. For example, instead of getting the G. Pegasis Starter, one can always get the Booster if they want to save money. The same would be applicable to the Pegasis 145D and Leone 105F Boosters.

I was about to say to add Flame for destabilizing.
I think this would be a good idea, considering that many members are younger and have less money than one with a job would.
RE: What to Buy in MFB: Revamp - Mc Frown - Dec. 29, 2010
I'll do that later today then.
RE: What to Buy in MFB: Revamp - Mc Frown - Jan. 09, 2011
Added a new section.
RE: What to Buy in MFB: Revamp - 桃太郎 - Jan. 09, 2011
I like the Blading on a Tight Budget Section, but it only covers Attack Types. I think you should expand further on Defense and Stamina Types. Other than that, it's a great way to start the Section.
RE: What to Buy in MFB: Revamp - Mc Frown - Jan. 09, 2011
I'd almost reccomend keeping it that way, seeing as that Attack method is a cheap and viable way of winning, with the dominance of Attack and all. I could add Defense/Stamina, but it seems like it'd be a waste of money to delve into either of those two types.
RE: What to Buy in MFB: Revamp - OkiBlaze - Jan. 09, 2011
IMO I don't think many people with a tight budget even own a TT Attack Stadium, so Stamina/Defense could be a better competitive option for them. But you never know.

I probably agree with this, although Earth Aquila 145WD is pretty much top-tier straight out of the box, so I would say that's really good value.

This was what I was thinking. Since the Attack Type Stadium is the one of the most expensive things one will buy during his or her enjoyment of this hobby, Defense and Stamina Types may be an option for these people as these Beys do not necessarily require a slope or exits when in play.
And Heart has raised a good point with Earth Aquila 145WD.
RE: What to Buy in MFB: Revamp - Mc Frown - Jan. 09, 2011
Hrmmm, but this is more just for competitive use, even if you don't personally own an attack stadium.
Including Earth Aquila seems like a good idea though.
I decided Flame Byxis is good enough uncustomized to warrant a purchase as well.
RE: What to Buy in MFB: Revamp - Kai-V - Feb. 04, 2011
I finally updated the "What to Buy in MFB" topic. Let me know if there are some changes you think still need to be done.
Pisces was not added because there is simply nobody using it, so it seems that Earth is still better and actually top-tier ...
RE: What to Buy in MFB: Revamp - Mc Frown - Feb. 05, 2011
yeah, pisces doesnt seem worth it really, cpt squirrell kept saying it was good so i added it
EDIT: Dump Wide Square Stadium and Beylauncher Suspension
they're both rank
RE: What to Buy in MFB: Revamp - Kai-V - Feb. 05, 2011
Do we replace the Beylauncher Suspension with the Beylauncher Rubber, perhaps ?
Also, instead of Wide Square Type, Standard Type ?
I suppose we also have to wait some more before we consider Screw Capricorne and Hell Kerbecs.
RE: What to Buy in MFB: Revamp - Mc Frown - Feb. 05, 2011
Maybe just Attack Stadium.
And no launcher accessories are really necessary. I think you get the most power with just a beylauncher and grip. Even a grip mule/rubber is superfluous.
RE: What to Buy in MFB: Revamp - 桃太郎 - Feb. 05, 2011
I'm still on the side of keeping your Launchers as far away from breakages as possible; it would be wiser to drop Suspensions and replace them with Rubbers. I'm still questioning if Quetzalcoatl should be on the list though; BB-96 already covers 90, and more. More people would use the entirety of BB-96, whereas Quetz is only good for 90.
Also, I'd add Galaxy Pegasis W105R²F, because I feel its Bottom becomes a lot more useful even when as worn as RF.
RE: What to Buy in MFB: Revamp - Galaxy - Feb. 05, 2011
I think that BB-97 and BB-98 should be added to the list: two sets that contain a lot of usefull components: Grip,MF2,GB145,RF,LRF,85,RS,BeyLauncher L,BeyLauncher L/R,Gravity MW,great improvements with the Perseus Clear Wheel.
I don't know about LDrago Clear because i must test them yet!

Quote:Here’s an updated thread for "What to Buy in MFB" with regards to Metal Fight Beyblade. The old thread worked well, but as time grew it became rather cluttered, sorting through it became tough so here’s a quick stop to see what you should buy for MFB. Any other discussion should be moved to Purchase Consultation if not already answered here. This thread should be updated regularly as new parts are released and tested.
If you're looking for more detailed information on each of the items listed below, make use of the website's search function before posting in another thread.
Beyblades:
Obviously some of them are better than others; here is a list of particularly good releases and why. This may range from the whole beyblade being good to a single part like the Track or Bottom.
BB-01 Pegasis 105F: Overlooked for a while, the Pegasis Wheel has proven to be very versatile with high Tracks and a flat rubber Bottom. Alternatively, getting BB-05 Pegasis 145D can be recommended.
BB-04 Leone 145D: Leone's Wheel is a very strong Smash Attack part which, paired with RF, deals critical hits mostly at low levels. Its default Track and Bottom are however average for the most, which is why BB-08 Leone 105F is also advised.
BB-28 Storm Pegasis 105RF: Its bottom, RF, is a definite must have for any blader interested in Attack Types. It also includes a Beylauncher, which is the most powerful launcher at the moment.
BB-43 Lightning L Drago 100HF: Another excellent Wheel choice for Attack and in Left Spin : in fact, it's great at almost any height. It also has the 100 Track which is a good upgrade for Storm Pegasis. It includes a Left Spin Beylauncher, currently the only good launcher capable of launching Lightning L Drago or L Drago.
BB-55 Dark Cancer CH120SF: While Dark and SF aren’t particularly great parts, CH120 is a mainstay staple part. Its versatility is a very welcome factor allowing for the construction of very effective combos like Metal Face Lightning L Drago CH120RF. It is relatively heavy as well so it has use in Defense combinations too.
BB-47 Earth Aquila 145WD: Earth has proven itself to be a very useful Wheel for both Defense and Stamina. Its weight is amongst the heaviest in MFB making it the best option for Defense combos currently. WD is a viable bottom for Defense or Stamina.
BB-40 Dark Bull H145SD: Despite the fact that Dark is one of the worst Metal Wheels and that H145 has a lot of recoil, the Bull Clear Wheel is the best choice for both Stamina and Defense customizations due to the way its weight is distributed, and SD is a top-tier Stamina Bottom.
BB-59 Burn Phoenix 135MS: Unfortunately, this Beyblade only comes with one real good part: its Metal Wheel, Burn. It is one of the best Stamina Metal Wheels out because of its greater length which favours Stamina a lot. The Burn Metal Wheel also seems able to perform well against most types if associated with the right parts.
BB-70/BB-92 Galaxy Pegasis W105R2F: All parts in Galaxy Pegasis W105R2F are not good, except for R2F. R2F's faster speed over RF makes R2F a great purchase for increasing Attacking power.
BB-71/BB-93 Ray Unicorno D125CS: Beside RF, CS is one of the best Bottoms specifically for Attack and Defense combinations. Since it has rubber itself too, but also a plastic sharp tip, it provides different sorts of attack behaviours. Furthermore, Ray is a very strong Metal Wheel with considerable Smash Attack. D125 can also be used in some Attack or Defense customizations, but should never be used over CH120.
BB-78 Rock Giraffe R145WB: Rock possesses some untapped potential in Attack combinations. While its Bottom has become outclassed in Defense, it is still a better alternative than many other Bottoms. This Beyblade's greatest part is probably its Track though, R145 : made of some rubber wings, it can convey the combination it is in some decent power absorption, but also some attacking skills.
BB-80 Gravity Perseus AD145WD: While its Hybrid Wheel is labelled as Defense, it has actually found more use in strong mid-height Attack combinations. Its Track, AD145, has great Stamina attributes and can even occasionally defeat 230 customizations. WD, as always, is one of the best Stamina Bottoms as well. This Starter also comes with the Beylauncher LR, which not only has more power than regular winder-based launchers, but can additionally spin both ways.
BB-91 Ray Gill 100RSF: As was mentioned for Ray Unicorno, its Metal Wheel has some strong Smash Attack. Its Track, 100, is also an extremely useful part in many combinations for almost all types, but The reason to get this Beyblade is really RSF, its tip. Similar to RS, it provides almost the same defending skills but even has less balancing problems, making it one of the best pure Defense Bottoms to date.
BB-95 Flame Byxis 230WD: Even though Flame is an outclassed Stamina Metal Wheel, this Beyblade is easily one of the best out of the box. Its ridiculously high Track is extremely useful both in Stamina, but also even in Defense. The only Track height that is able to consistently defeat it is 145, but since it's known that the latter is defeated by almost any lower Stamina combinations, 230 is a very powerful weapon in battle. Paired with such Bottoms as CS, 230 also makes for an almost invincible powerful Defense Track. Furthermore, WD is a top-tier Stamina Bottom.
BB-96 Super Deck Set: This product comes with only very popular and strong combinations that Japanese Bladers used to win tournaments: MF Pegasis 85RF, Libra 100D, and Burn Cancer 90WD. Almost all the parts in this set have use in competitive customizations. The Metal Face that is included in this set is the Custom Ver. one, so you can build different combinations of Metal Faces. Pegasis is a very strong Attack Wheel Pegasis is outclassed in Attack, but 85 is a staple part for almost everything, RF is one of the best Attack Bottoms, Libra has decent potential in all types, 100 and 90 both see use in Attack, Defense, and Stamina, D and WD are some Stamina Bottoms, Burn is one of the best Stamina Wheels, and Cancer is a good substitute to Bull and Aquario in all types.
BB-104 Basalt Horogium 145WD: Basalt's incredibly heavy weight and large surface area makes this essential for any Blader. Basalt can be used to extremely high success in Defense, Stamina, and Anti-Meta Attack Combos. 145 is relatively outclassed all around by other gimmicked tracks, but WD is a commonly used Stamina Bottom.
BB-113 Scythe Kronos T125EDS: Scythe has a very round, wide shape, which fits well with BD145. Scythe is very thin, so any Defense capabilities are lost; but Scythe excels in terms of Stamina. T125 is negligible, but EDS is very useful and powerful in Stamina customizations.
BB-114 VariAres D:D: VariAres is known as the top Attack Metal Wheel. It works well at multiple heights, and can spin both ways, making it incredibly versatile. D:D is sub-par, but every Attack Blader looking to fulfill their potential needs a VariAres.
BB-118 Phantom Orion B:D: Phantom his great weight distribution, and works incredibly well with the 4D Bottom that it comes with. B:D is the first MFB bearing part, and can spin for long periods of time, making this important for any Stamina Blader.
Quetzalcoatl 90WF: One of the rarest MFB's out there. It's got a somewhat limited release making it both hard to find on its own and quite expensive. However it's one of the best Attackers available, and mostly complete right "out of the box". While it does not come with an RF, WF is still plenty effective, and it already comes with the 90 track which is used for Quetzalcoatl 90RF and Storm 90RF customizations. The Wheel is the best Low Attacker around, it's also one of the nicest looking pre-HWS Wheels out there.
Virgo DF145BS: Virgo is a good choice for anyone really interested in Stamina. However, anyone looking to buy this Wheel should read this article before making any decisions. DF145 is the best track for Stamina currently tested.
Earth Virgo GB145BS: This release usually contains the second mold of the Earth Metal Wheel, which was strengthened for less breaks and therefore weighs more. It is very good for Defense. Its Track, GB145, is also a decent defense part since it is quite wide. Fortunately, while TAKARA-TOMY only released Earth Virgo as a Random Booster prize Beyblade and in the Beyblade Deck Entry Set, SonoKong came out with a starter for this top.
Grand Ketos WD145/T125RS: Available as two different Starters in two different colours from SonoKong or as the prize Beyblade of Random Booster Vol. 5, these Beyblades sadly only have one great part : their Bottom, RS. Consisting of rubber, it allows Defense types to remain even more in their spot due to the increased friction, but suffers from some balance issues. Still, it's definitely a staple part for Defense types.
Jade Jupiter S130RB: Jade does not meet expectations in all categories, but S130 has found use in multiple Attack customizations, and RB's wide surface area provides results comparable to RS and RSF.
85 Track: Unfortunately this Track does not come in an easily accessible Beyblade. It can be purchased individually on Yahoo! Japan Auctions, but otherwise it is only included with Mercury Anubis, BB-96 Super Deck Set and BB-98 Ultimate Reshuffle Set L Drago Ver. 85 is very useful in essentially all types : in Attack combinations such as Vulcan- or Lightning L Drago-based ones, it makes them deliver some powerful hits; in Stamina, it totally defeats all other heights except 230 it is not a top choice, but still worthwhile; in Defense, 85 has potential because it often brings the customization to the same level as the attacking opponent.
Stadiums:
These are essential. Without a stadium you can’t really use your Metal Fight Beyblades. When considering your purchases you should definitely make sure you budget for one of these very soon. While it’s good to have one or two Beyblades for tournaments or playing with them at another person’s house/stadium, this should be a top priority acquisition.
BB-10 Beystadium Attack Type: This is another must have. Arguably one of the most balanced Stadiums created for MFB; it’s also a preferred Stadium by the majority of bladers for Metal Fight Beyblade.
BB-33 Beystadium Wide Square Type: Another really good stadium, it’s pretty balanced and also fairly large. It’s a good choice for either regular battles or multiplayer battles.
Accessories:
Not essentials for the most part, but if you're competitive almost all of the parts here are essential. They're all useful for giving you that little extra edge over your opponents.
BB-36/66/67 Metal Face: Sold in packs of two in the colors of Grey (36), Red (66), or Gun Metallic (67), they are extra parts which are very useful and functional in many competitive combos to add weight to the Beyblade.
BB-84/85 Metal Face Remodeling Ver.: These new types of Metal Faces offer four different modes of weight distribution. Each set comes with two Faces made of four different parts: a Metal Core, a Plastic Core, a Metal Plate, and a Plastic Plate. While more tests need to be conducted, the combination of a Metal Core and a Metal Plate makes a Face that is heavier than the regular Metal Faces, greatly helping in Defense combinations.
BB-15 Launcher Grip: Some of it is preference, some of it is comfort. Most players tend to use these if they can.
BB-58 Beylauncher Suspension: This is a very important part if you wish to prolong the life of your Beylaunchers. It rectifies a fatal flaw in its design and helps protect the handle and string from breaking.

BB-97 Ultimate Reshuffle Set Perseus Version: This set contains a wide array of competitive parts, the most significant being two Gravity Metal Wheels, the Perseus Attack Version Clear Wheel, AD145, GB145, WD, RS, Beylauncher L/R, and a Metal Face Custom Ver. The price is great if you're looking to obtain some competitive parts, but not looking to buy the other parts that come with the Booster or Starter.
BB-99 Hell Kerbecs BD145DS: Hell Kerbecs and BD145 can be used to an extent in Attack, Defense, Stamina, and Balance. In each combination it is outclassed, but not completely bad. What makes up for this though, is it's Track, BD145. BD145 is used in the top customizations in Attack, Defense, and Stamina. It's Defense properties are top-notch and is not matched in terms of pure Defense. DS is a noteworthy part, but WD, EDS, and CS are all used more commonly.
BB-106 Fang Leone 130W2D: The Fang Metal Wheel is one of the top Smash Attack Metal Wheels to date. 130 has found no particular uses, and most people prefer WD, EDS, and CS over W2D, but Fang makes this worth a purchase.
BB:108 L Drago Destroy F:S: To many, the L Drago Destroy Metal Wheel has superior Attack power than Lightning L Drago. F:S is a bad part in general, so the Metal Wheel is the main reason to purchase L Drago Destroy F:S
BB-117 Strongest Blader Set: This set comes with two Clear Wheels that are great for revealing an Attack Type's contact points, two useful Metal Wheels, two useful Bottoms, and a Metal Face Custom Ver. Blitz is among the strongest Attack Metal Wheels, and Basalt is the best choice for Defense customizations. RS and RSF are known as the best Pure-Defense Bottoms available. Horogium, Nightmare, 100, UW145, 130, and EWD all can be used in one way or another. The fact alone that Blitz can only be obtained in this Set makes this an excellent purchase.
BB-118 Phantom Orion B:D: Phantom his great weight distribution, and works incredibly well with the 4D Bottom that it comes with. B:D is the first MFB bearing part, and can spin for long periods of time, making this important for any Stamina Blader.
Beat Lynx TH170WD: Beat has powerful Smash Attack that in some opinions, rival Metal Wheels such as Lightning. TH170 is an essential part, as it is essentially an upgrade to 230. TH170 provides more range of Defense, as well as the ability to beat combos using 230. WD is one of the most commonly used Stamina Bottoms.
Jade Jupiter S130RB: Jade does not meet expectations in all categories, but S130 has found use in multiple Attack customizations, and RB's wide surface area provides results comparable to RS and RSF.
Big Bang Pegasis Reshuffle Parts Set: Containing the Tracks 100, 130, and 105, this set contains Tracks with a Mediocre height, and not many uses. RSF, RF, RS make up for this though. Those three Bottoms alone make this worth a purchase, because of the tendency for rubber to wear and the variety given.
Phantom Orion Reshuffle Parts Set: This Set gives the opportunity for multiple styles of Beyblading. WD for Stamina, XF for Attack, 230 for Defense, 85 and CH120 for all types. SF is the only part in this Set that does not have a significant use, but this Set is worth a purchase because it is much cheaper than buying all the parts individually.
Some people prefer Launcher Rubbers though, but some also prefer Beylauncher Suspensions, so one is not necessarily better than the other.
BB-81 Launcher Rubber: This pack contains three Rubber attachments for a Beylauncher, which are the colour Red, Black, and White. Launcher Rubbers are preferred over Beylauncher Suspensions because they allow the user to release the handle when the string is fully extended, as well as being a cushion to protect the handle of a Beylauncher. Some people prefer Launcher Rubbers over Beylauncher Suspensions, but some prefer the Suspensions, so one is not necessarily better than the other.
It needs to be updated. So here.
I was being 100% honest. I'm questioning keeping BB-96; I want to put in BB-97 and BB-98 though.
The only edits that I made to the Stadiums and Accessories sections was removing. Add stuff as you like.
Edit away if you wish.

I'd say Hell Kerbecs BD145DS is still an essential purchase, no? haha.

Oh jeez, I thought of it as a whole and completely forgot about BD145, haha. I'll add it now in the second spoiler.
Edit: done.
