Favorite Anime Opening and Ending *NEW RULES!!* - Nano - Dec. 22, 2010

I searched and there is no thread about this so I decided to make one.

What is your favorite Anime opening(s)? Mine is the opening for The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Luckyâ˜†Star, and Sgt. Frog. I like them because they are catchy. Also their animation is good. So just post your favorite with a explanation of why you like it.

I can't pick a #1 favorite because it will always change. But one of the few I enjoyed recently is 'Birdy the Mighty DECODE' season 2 opening, by 'NIRGILIS'

This band also did the 4th opening of Eureka Seven, a series with consistently good openings and endings, imo Joyful_2

The second opening for Bleach, D-techno Life- Uverworld. I still love this song, and the animation was awesome, despite how much it was revealing about the plot. The Dragonball Kai opening comes in a close second.

I really cannot decide. I'd have to say, based on my favorites, they go in this order: Distance, Blue Bird, Sign (Flow), Diver (NICO Touches the Walls), Toumei Datta Sekai. These are all songs from Naruto, and I like them because they have a wonderful sound, the animation is great, and the songs, no matter how uplifting they may seem, all carry a depressing element. I put the bands in ()s, but I don't know all the band names.

I think my favourite would be Black Cat's second opening. I know the second opening's song is the same as the first one, but I just find the clips for the second one fit much better with the song.

It goes without saying that, as the huge Bleach fan that I am, i have a soft spot for most of them, but Black Cat really stands out, in my head.

That and Gintama's. And Code Geass R2 first (I think?) opening. And many more...
