RE: eBay Topic - sporkseller - Sep. 04, 2013 (Sep. 04, 2013 10:55 PM)drofswaganomics Wrote: those legend beyblade set which is available on eBay at the moment, all are counterfeit cause these won't come with a Certificate of Authenticity card where as a real one comes with... Scary - are we sure they should come with a CoA? RE: eBay Topic - drofswaganomics - Sep. 04, 2013 yeah! check this out : - http://beyblade.wikia.com/wiki/Legend_Beyblade_Set?file=Legend_Beyblade_Set03.jpg RE: eBay Topic - sporkseller - Sep. 04, 2013 Then I'm afraid I may be receiving a fake in the mail today. carp!!! I'll know in an hour RE: eBay Topic - TimeOut - Sep. 04, 2013 They sure look real, even though the certificate isn't pictured it says takara tomy in the description and if it is not you have a valid reason to return it... RE: eBay Topic - sporkseller - Sep. 05, 2013 I bought mine from YJA, and actually that one article is the only resource I can see that mentions a CoA. I checked inside, and there is no certificate, but the sticker sheet is even branded TakaraTomy. If this is a fake, then (unlike the duped china Beyblades) it's a flat out illegal copy. Again, going to read the Japanese sites later on, but I'll wager a guess that it's an authentic Takara product released outside/after the original run. Akin to a "2nd Printing". Not to mention that a CoA need not necessarily come from the manufacturer. There are authentication service providers who could likewise issue an industry recognized CoA (same as with a baseball card or comic book). All that said, somehow or another there are far more than 100 of these in the world and I intend to find out why. --- Update: I found the original announcement from TakaraTomy, and it does not mention a limit of 100pcs being released. Does anyone know where that piece is information came from if not TT? Here's the link: TakaraTomy Campaign Announcement At one point towards the bottom, it states that 1,712 people who participate in the campaign will be chosen in a lottery to also receive an original sticker. Another WBBA official article and no mention / photo of a CoA nor stated limit on the release quantity. Again, it seems there were more than 100 of these released - that is beginning to seem the only logical conclusion. Article 2 I'm satisfied - these are almost surely authentic, and it stands to reason they're not as rare as perhaps we all thought they were. I am not done yet, still got the blogosphere to check out. RE: eBay Topic - Kai-V - Sep. 05, 2013 For certain any seller could just throw away that superficial piece of paper because it is not a "certificate of authenticity" : it just congratulates the person for being picked randomly and reveiving this rare set in the mail, in Japan. I posted a set of plastics at $0.99 starting, let's see how much it will go. http://www.ebay.com/itm/331015593060?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649 RE: eBay Topic - 4DFury - Sep. 06, 2013 (Sep. 05, 2013 11:47 PM)BeyderAndy Wrote: http://www.ebay.com/itm/331007399760?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649 I got outbid by a dollar. I was going to bid fifty but figured I could get it for cheaper so mad I didn't bid higher. RE: eBay Topic - Ga' - Sep. 06, 2013 Wow, good job to whoever won that. Even if they are used, it is still an excellent price. I wanted to bid on it, but you'd hear the usual sob story from me as to why I couldn't. RE: eBay Topic - BeyderAndy - Sep. 06, 2013 Have you seen this? Though not related to beyblade, but I see this coming in the beyblade market. http://www.ebay.com/itm/360722199528?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 This is in the news now, imagine if same thing happened to beyblade, and the media is all over it. RE: eBay Topic - Snoop Dog MS - Sep. 06, 2013 Yeah, that thing has only like what, 5 other copies in the world? But I think it is waaaay to overpriced for a Pokemon card RE: eBay Topic - Ocean - Sep. 06, 2013 Exactly, Bandid genbull is overpriced, hope it doesn't get any more expensive. I bought a samurai Revizer a month ago, it came 5 days earlier than estimated and it came with an amazon-ordered speaker. Strange. Darn those US only auctions! By the way, that's Orthros G, Blizzard Orthrus is Takara: RE: eBay Topic - Ga' - Sep. 08, 2013 The Sea Dragon is actually Sea Drake, or the Hasbro version, so it's not as important. RE: eBay Topic - Kai-V - Sep. 08, 2013 Even the Thunder Dragon is Hasbro's and slightly disappointing ... RE: eBay Topic - Ga' - Sep. 08, 2013 All the HMS are Hasbro haha. You will get plenty of offer, you could get more money. Thanks. I don't think I would get a bid but I increased the price just in case. I will try to sell separate. I know Zeus is high in price but which one of my blades are considered rare or high value? RE: eBay Topic - sporkseller - Sep. 10, 2013 (Sep. 10, 2013 3:11 PM)Sneakattack Wrote:(Sep. 10, 2013 5:58 AM)BeyderAndy Wrote: It is worth as your asking price or even a little higher, try selling the rare one you have in selling thread here in WBO. Your price may not be far off in total, but your still unlikely to sell it in one lot like that. It's a simple matter of most people not having half-a-thousand dollars to drop at once. I'd recommend splitting it up - and you can check the plastics price list if you really want to know what people here consider 'fair' in terms of pricing. That price list is more a suggestion than a rule, but I don't see anything in your lot that is going to go to much higher than what's stated on the price list. Zeus goes for appx $75 when NIB (assuming its Takara), maybe $50 if very good / mint. The price list is posted by username 'Kaizer' something (FYI) |
