Re thinking the "bad" parts list - Auska - Dec. 06, 2010

Im hoping this is the correct place to be posting this first off.

anyway. i've been looking into many different parts people have been claiming to be bad or not toptier parts. i understand most of the parts that are toptier have been tested and proven to be super effective. as with others they seem to be left in the dark.

the three parts i would like to look into mainly are

Flat sharp performance tip,

as well as the Dark and the Rock metal rings

i know there have been previous testings on these but i believe they havent actually been well assesed.

the flat sharp tip has a nice design in my opinion. its like the sharp tip but instead of getting knocked off balance it catches the flat edge and knocks back at its opponent

ive found it highly useful in combo against the topteir Earth bull c145 wd (as well as the wb since ive seen wd seems to be less effective to most people now)

the dark ring is pretty bad as always noted however not useless. the one purpose i see it having is it connects really well with the rock ring. even when calmly bouncing off of each other at times there are some amazing collisions when at the same general height. thought it was interesting, now i know its not going to be a toptier but i believe its a useful tip when facing the rock ring though there are plenty of other useful ways to waste it.

ive found the rock to be useful against the topteir combo earth bull c145 wd/wb
putting it on a low track (all i have it 100) with the fs or a wb it keeps well balanced and it getts right under the earth ring or collides really well with it.

the only sad part of my results is that i dont own anything other than a driger den hasbro stadium (heh im an old school blader Tongue_out) so i would love to see this combo:
rock leone 100 fs/wb. i use leone because its well balanced.

Bias. Sharp tips sucks, what's your point ?

State the combo ?

So you're saying it can only be used against Rock ? That's stupid.
Hasbro Dark is okay for defence, no one said it was the worst.

So with the WB you are trying to use a Defence against Defence ? Try Defence against Attack.
Rock also has uses with an RF and 100 track for Attack.

Which is probably the reason why your results are pretty inaccurate.

These parts are bad for a reason. No one would just openly state that a part is bad if it hasn't been thoroughly tested in a proper stadium.
Seriously, this thread is useless. These parts have okay uses in some combos; Dark for Defence, Rock for Attack and FS for Stamina. Though they are just outclassed and no one wants to use them.
If you want to use them in a tournament, go ahead.

No I'm not being mean, this thread is just making pointless arguments without support.

plenty of people like rock

RE: Re thinking the "bad" parts list - blah - Dec. 06, 2010

I like Rock for Defence and its uses in Attack are pretty fun too. =)

RE: Re thinking the "bad" parts list - Auska - Dec. 06, 2010

Well that's why I asked at the end for the combo to be tested I'm not saying anything like its unbeatable but its knocking around a toptier crappy stadium or not. Also the other stuff is just observations no data is bad data and I think most the things I've said haven't been repeated

RE: Re thinking the "bad" parts list - blah - Dec. 06, 2010

If you think it is potential top tier post here then.

RE: Re thinking the "bad" parts list - Auska - Dec. 06, 2010

Not to sound noon but what's the easiest way to transfer posts from here there there (your link) and I wasn't sure wherebto post this considering I said that at the start

Edit: scratch that ill just post the combo of course. Realized the answer to my question

I'll close this now.
