Underoath and The Almost - goldenpotato - Nov. 26, 2010

I didn't see a thread for either band, so i thought a topic for both would be good.

Underoath released their new album, Disambiguation, on November 9. There's a lot of controversy on the band's new sound, but i like them just as much as before, no doubt. It was depressing when Aaron Gillespie left the band, but at least he's still in The Almost.

The Almost released Monster Monster Deluxe Edition digitally and physically on October 26, which was really just a re-release that had 4 of their new music videos and 5 new songs. i got it and it was amazingggg ;P The Almost is probably my favorite band overall.

input or comments anyone??? :D

RE: Underoath and The Almost - Roan - Nov. 26, 2010

Underoath is one of my favorite bands.

I was shocked when Aaron left the band, but after hearing Disambiguation, I'm really glad that he did. I love their new, much heavier sound. What always ruined the band for me before was the sort of pop-rock element that Aaron always brought to their songs, and now that that's gone the band has really explored their metal roots and a heavier sound and I love it.

Glad to find someone else that likes them this much! And i definitely agree with you. The farthest they got with Aaron was maybe borderline hardcore. And yeah, Disambiguation is probably my favorite album from them so far. Im glad that they can grow on their own into a new band and sound, and that Aaron can still be in The Almost and pursue gospel music and work with his church.

Epic sig by the way.
