I find it a bit sad that Kai VA is now in FutureShop commercials. From a decent VA gig, to hosting a CBC block, to doing Futureshop commercials...

i am planning on watching the following on the 8 hour drive to my family's house (then another 8 hours from there back) for thanksgiving break:
Dragonball Z: Saiyan (/Vegeta?) Saga, Frieza Saga
Mobile Suit Gundam MS IGLOO (The Hidden One Year Year and Apocalypse 0079)
I look forward to watching classic kamehameha waves being fired from palms of people's hands and giant CGI robots kill each other.

for some reason the older series don't really interest me much
maybe it's the art and doesn't look so.. "fresh"? i mean i know it's old, but i can't stand the RX-78 looking less streamlined (aka fat looking) as compared to the other gundams i've seen so far (now i know there's plenty and there's not much possibility for me actually learning every single one of their names).

I'd kinda of figure that. The graphics aren't that great, but if you ever want to watch a classic and meaningful Gundam series, MSZ is what you should watch.
