But kendo is more powerful and has more decisive strikes. As someone has NEVER taken kendo, but has spent many hours thinking about martial arts philosophy, I think you should realize that you cannot compare martial arts. Each one has it's strengths and weaknesses. I was making a joke earlier with my greater than triad, but there is no best martial art.

Well a cross over match between a fencer and a Kendo practitioner would be interesting, but if you look at it from like Soul Calibur the speed of a fencer is what balances it's lack of overal power when compared to the pure ferocity of Kenjutsu. Still a fencer would have to dodge attacks or attempt to parry because the force of the strike would not be well taken by someone with the like of an Escot or even Raiper.
