You always stood strong with the will to bear
My screams as he pulled me by the hair
This soil on my knees never fades
This hurt on my conscious forever strains
Can I sleep it away?
Lying in the comfort of your shade
My tears saturating the blanketing glades
The echoes in my head never cease
This blood on my dress stains
Can I wash it away?
Sordid words and actions
Still cause me to weep
Each and every time it's done
Please... Just leave me be
I want to close my eyes forever
Fall into an ethereal sleep
Where he can no longer have me
Where I am finally free
You watched me fall into his hands
A lifeless witness to my despair
My tears burn your leaves black
As I shed them once again
Now as I stand in the whipping air
My heart pounding beneath this noose I grope
I pray your limb holds the rope
Long enough for me to choke
