From a person who owns both, try to get the RC launcher instead, or the Takara Plug & Play thingie(not the Hasbro one). Since apparently, those are much better shooters.

I can attest to the awesomeness of the RC shooter, and it's better than my Dranzer Electronic. And if you buy the RC shooter, you get the awesome Neo-Dragon Winder(It's called Neo-Dragon right?).

Or just use the regular launcher with a customize grip. This is the best option.

Impretty sure the gearing is different like 9 tooth gear.
Still the advantage is short lived since imo the plastic is soft and wears easy thus stripping.
