RE: Beyblade Videos - Hazel - Jan. 30, 2012

Shame it's clearly evident you're not launching at full strength with the Basalt combo(especially with the 2:00 battle), and that you have a MASSIVE lag in followup launches. It should also be pointed out that if you're KOing a Basalt BD145CS combo at all with another CS combo - even the most aggressive CS ever made - there is something hinky up.

Oh, and, for the record: it's not really argued that a malfunctioning M145 isn't "suitable". R145 and CH120 just do its job better, without being stuck. You could very well likely get better results on regular 145 than a stuck M145.

How to make a terrible case for your point: A Sniperâ„¢ Production.

I greatly appreciate your opinion Hazel thats not my video im thedefenseking17 you should check me out sometime. Smile

Ah. So change "you" to "he".

It's still a terrible way to try and prove a point.

Basalt combo against 4 different 4D top-tier combo
The solo spin of this basalt leone can reach 5mins40sec.
you may find a different result compare to mine if your basalt has short solo spin time and wobble a lot.

MF-M Basalt Leone 230MB
MF-H Death Bull BD145CS
MF-L Phantom Virgo S130WD
MF-L Duo Aquario BD145CS
MF-F Scythe Cancer 85CS

Sniper, don't defend yourself by passing blame onto someone else. That's Bluezee's vid, and if he had to launch that way to make a stuck M145 work then it doesn't say much about the combo as a whole. Hazel already pointed out what was wrong with that video's techniques as well.

MF-M Variares M145LRF vs MF Duo Bull BD145MB

Is mb on duo really that bad, or is the combo good?

What exactly is Basalt BD145CS supposed to look like when launched at full strength? I put a fair amount of power into my launches and get that same kind of pattern (on occasion even Tornado Ridge riding) and that videos launch seemed fine. That 2:00 was a bit ridiculous but definitely doable if you take the time to look at the collision. MASSIVE lag in follow ups? 5 seconds seemed like the longest wait and I hardly believe that is the astronomical difference you're making it out to be.
KO'ing Basalt BD145CS with a CS aggressive like that is definitely doable (which you obviously see is being done in the video..) In fact, I'd like to see you come up with a way that I can make Basalt BD145CS easy to KO. Seriously how exactly can you fake it at all?

at all? Seriously.

Just humoring your thought of it being launched poorly: (which I shouldn't, honestly.) I know it was before your time, but the whole weak launching thing holds true even for same spin: The weak launched bey is still hard to KO. The whole reason it didn't work for same spin is because it would get outright OS'd because of the hits (before you go there, not in the way Basalt was in the video at all). I mean you must not understand what was found there if you have an argument based on the fact that OP made Basalt BD145CS harder to KO by launching it 'lighter'. (which as far as I see, or even care, is not the case.) So yeah, if he were to launch Basalt lighter it would not be an advantage for VariAres by any means KO-wise.

TAKARA-TOMY posted a video of the Japan Championship 2012 from January 22nd at the World Hobby Fair :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5OVeCUqI-gc

I cannot believe, for the decisive finals, they used a stadium with a third spinning top that could not die and that was mobile.

Also, at the end there is another demonstration of the Zero G Stadium Attack Type, but it is nothing new.

RE: Beyblade Videos - th!nk - Jan. 31, 2012

Meow: Duo is not a weight based defender, it focuses on low recoil. As such, the centralized weight which makes MB work on Basalt does not help Duo at all, and then MB's poor defensive ability shines through. Duo is a wheel which is "just strong enough" to avoid KO. It teeters at the edge but never goes out, unless you have an abnormally light Duo (see Relic's testing), or a sub-par combination (see that video).

I was not aware information expired. Before my time, you say? Hmm...

Implying that there's no way to make BD145CS easy to KO when launching it is genuinely misguided. Weak launching is a fairly specific trick, and even against the opposite spin direction, the wrong launch force can cost you a win. Especially on CS.

It's also probably worth mentioning that the way he's using the CS on his Basalt really isn't optimal for Defense, which is something I did neglect before. Most times I flower my BD145CS, it hops out, against MF Blitz 100R2F.

There's clearly a difference of opinion in what you think is probable and what I think is probable - and they both stem from our experiences with Basalt BD145CS.

EDIT: If it's worth anything, watching it again, it also appears he's slightly banking the BD145CS in several of the launches, but not all of them, which would obviously make KOing a bit easier, as well.
