Guitar Hero: Metallica and Guitar Hero IV - Katashi - Jun. 18, 2008

THEY CAN DENY US MASTER OF PUPPETS NO LONGER!!!!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guitar_Hero:_Metallica

I don't really visit these "expert" gamer forums like gamefaqs and 1Up and whatever, so if anybody could find anything about Guitar Hero: Metallica there, post it here, please.

Also, Guitar Hero IV: The Bane of Harmonix, or at least I think it will be. I love the new drum setup that they plan on using for it. Not those damn insanely close-together ones. Maybe I can actually use the damn things! Also, I think they recently released the price for it: somewhere around $189, same as the Rock Band bundle. So, my suggestion, trade in Rock Band Tongue_out

RE: Guitar Hero: Metallica and Guitar Hero IV - mdhvdukshsj - Jun. 18, 2008

why would we trade in rock band?

the songs are still fun?

RE: Guitar Hero: Metallica and Guitar Hero IV - jasonresno - Jun. 18, 2008

If it weren't for Rock Band, Guitar Hero wouldn't have the drumset to rip off and better Tongue_out. I hate that that is how games work. One company does something innovating, and another one will come around and rip the product off, make it better, and be lauded for it.

Being a drummer and having played Rock Band with many other drummers, I think you're the first one I've ever heard of complain about the pads being close together. The only complaint I have is how the pads aren't always sensitive enough.

I was talking about a month before GHIV comes out. Besides, I'm sure a lot of the songs on Rock Band will appear on GHIV at some point or another. After all, Hamonix was allowed to bag several of the songs from GHIII.

This.

This infuriates me. I've tried to get 100% Expert on songs before and I know I hit the carp pad but for some ungodly reason the game doesn't register the hit.

That's really frustrating. Apparently the new GHIV drums are pressure sensitive, so hopefully this won't be an issue with that set.

On the other hand though, the high hat is going to be that left cymbal. Its going to be uncomfortable as hell to have to sit and reach that far for every high hat hit.

Yeah, that is going to be a pain for the arms. Meh, jason, I've always disliked the way the Rock Band drums have been set up. They felt nothing like a real drum set to me, so i've always had a difficult time getting used to where everything is set. not to mention, every time I play with friends, I fail once and they throw me back on vocals, so I really haven't had much practice with the drums at all, either.

xD I'm hoping they'll have Muse as much as you are. Which reminds me, what all was on that Muse pack?

I was really hoping for Hysteria and Time is Running Out...

RE: Guitar Hero: Metallica and Guitar Hero IV - jasonresno - Jun. 18, 2008

I know the RB set isn't like a real drumset. But for a drummer: tempo is tempo, just give us something to hit.

Apparently the new RB drums (you can buy individually or with the new bundles) have been retooled as far as sensitivity.

Katashi Wrote:I was really hoping for Hysteria and Time is Running Out...

hysterias in RB

and <3 time is running out

Wait, as in, on the regular setlist or the dc?

RE: Guitar Hero: Metallica and Guitar Hero IV - jasonresno - Jun. 18, 2008

As long as I calibrate to my TV (my friends and I get together for rock band parties, so the equipment gets moved a ton) mine are registered too

RE: Guitar Hero: Metallica and Guitar Hero IV - Katashi - Jun. 18, 2008

I see....the Avenged Sevenfold pack looks disappointing. Afterlife is a good song, but there's still so much more they could have put on there (Steal Almost Easy from Neversoft?)

RE: Guitar Hero: Metallica and Guitar Hero IV - jasonresno - Jun. 18, 2008

There's an A7X pack? Ballin..

RE: Guitar Hero: Metallica and Guitar Hero IV - Guitar_Legend - Jun. 18, 2008

Am I the only one that cant stand A7X?

RE: Guitar Hero: Metallica and Guitar Hero IV - SexyMichael - Jun. 18, 2008

I have really high hopes for GH4. The set list better be deadly as carp.

More strokes/bloc party/radiohead/pixies/sonic youth ect ect.

And I want more high tier non-metal songs, carp.

There is a reason why most of the high tier songs are metal...although I did hear that Neversoft and ReOctane want to go beyond the metal motif for this one.

No, you are not alone.

A7X is seriously just about the cheesiest band ever. The only song they've written that is worth a damn was the one in GH2. I can't even remember the name of it, but it was fun as hell to play.

Honestly, I'm hoping for less metal stuff too. I want more modern bands, I'm tired of all the old fogies. Metallica is just about as carp washed up as they come, with Aerosmith in a very close second.

Give me some Muse, give me a carp of Thrice (Both new and old, though I'd prefer the older, more heavy stuff like say, Paper Tigers or something that is actually challenging to play on all the instruments), hell, give me some carp Dir en grey.

I would be shocked as hell if they put Dir en Grey on there. If anything, they might end up with some bonus song that you'd have to purchase in-game or whatever, and it might be a single, although I doubt any recent single would be clean enough for Guitar Hero. Not to mention that there would be no way for a vocalist to do anything, unless they did Clever Sleazoid or Agitated Screams of Maggots, even then, the English vocals would be almost impossible to make out as horrible as Kyo's English is (Lol, I know you were theorizing, but I just said all this for discussion's sake).

By the way, The Avenged Sevenfold song in GHII was Beast and the Harlot and yes, that was a very fun song to play. The reason I decided to look into the band (and only found about two or three other songs worth listening to).

Rock Band has songs that are in German dude, I see no reason why Dir en grey can't be released. I don't care if its DLC, I'll pay for it.

They did do German songs? Vocals and all?

RE: Guitar Hero: Metallica and Guitar Hero IV - Guitar_Legend - Jun. 19, 2008

A7X has some fun riffs but its nothing new
the vocals are a joke
their made up fantasy names like johnny christ and danny vengeance are a joke
and the make-up is a joke
