Bit- Hexa - OldWikiWriter - Apr. 04, 2025
Quote:==Description==
Hexa, abbreviated as H, is a Balance Type Bit that features a hexagonal tip with protrusions meeting into a sharp point. The sharp point means that a Hexa combination will settle to the center of the stadium quickly while the protrusions are designed to keep the combination stable and upright by striking against the stadium floor if knocked off balance. This feature is advertised to work with the HellsHammer Blade to allow it to perform repeated Force Smash Attacks.
While the intended synergy shows little effectiveness, the shape of Hexa allows the Bit to fill a different role. When a Hexa combination is moved, the protrusions will strike against the curvature of the stadium even when the Hexa combination is still upright and stable, acting as brakes and preventing Knock-Outs at the cost of Stamina. Furthermore, unlike Ball and other similar Bits, Hexa has a much thicker connection to the Ratchet, granting Hexa combinations greater Burst Resistance. Thus Hexa showcases excellent Defense properties.
Hexa is a Bit that features 16 gears instead of the standard 12, meant to increase the speed of an Xtreme Dash at the cost of Stamina, though the low movement of Hexa means that Xtreme Dashes mostly occur only when the combination is launched at the X-Line directly or accidentally when impact forces movement.
==Use in Defense Combinations==
Hexa can be put to use in the Defense Combination SilverWolf 7-60 Hexa. The round shape and free spinning underside of SilverWolf means that the Blade gives little recoil on impact and the 7-60 Ratchet provides Burst Resistance and weight, features that compliment the Knock-Out resistance of Hexa. Furthermore, SilverWolf's round shape, gimmick, and weight distribution gives the combination decent Stamina to outspin Attack Types and potentially outspin Stamina Types
==Overall==
At the time of writing, Hexa is one of the only viable Bits for pure Defensive combinations with its high Knock-Out and Burst Resistance. However, because of the low recoil of many top tier Blades such as WizardRod and SilverWolf there is little demand for pure Defensive Bits.
As a result, Hexa is not a must have but is instead a welcome addition to any Blader's collection
