And (afaik) there's been no news on a new Rhino coming out, either. Also, obligatory black and yellow recolors š¬ RE: CX-05 Random Booster Vol. 6 (Rares: HellsReaper T4-70K, RhinoReaper C4-55D) - NoNotYou - Mar. 13, 2025 -Reaper is definitely my favorite of the Hells line, pretty cool looks and good colors, and I always love me some mode changes. Kick just being Taper 4 though is lol. -Rhino evo is a big surprise, but a welcome one. Honestly in my top 3 favorite CX beys visually, it look pretty nice. Kinda wish it had a unique main blade, but eh not like rhino was ever going to get a normal evolution, so ig this is a decent compromise for less popular motifs. -Hells Arc is neato, Leon Crest is interesting with that off-white and bright orange, phoenix rudder recolor finally (kinda wish the launcher hooks were red but eh it still looks nice) -I have enough yellow recolors tt they never look good please stop RE: CX-05 Random Booster Vol. 6 (Rares: HellsReaper T4-70K, RhinoReaper C4-55D) - TrainiacJ - Mar. 14, 2025 Takara Tomy Wrote:CX-05 HellsReaper T4-70K RE: CX-05 Random Booster Vol. 6 (Rares: HellsReaper T4-70K, RhinoReaper C4-55D) - ayggdrasilgy - Mar. 15, 2025 So Trun is reversable, like Burst Turn. Kick is a mix of Taper & Hexa, both of the Hells series which is nice. This is a nice homage. The Charge Assist Blade seems to look like Unicorno's Energy Ring. And It also uses the same inner center of gravity principle. RE: CX-05 Random Booster Vol. 6 (Rares: HellsReaper T4-70K, RhinoReaper C4-55D) - ElDiablo69 - Mar. 18, 2025 Turn will be meta. Im callin it now RE: CX-05 Random Booster Vol. 6 (Rares: HellsReaper T4-70K, RhinoReaper C4-55D) - Jinbee - Mar. 19, 2025 HellsReaper is definitely my favourite looking CX bey shown thus far (maybe I'm just biased since it's a Hells bey), it's got a sorta HellsChain colour scheme which is neat, and the parts it does provide has some promise. The Reaper blade could be decent for stamina, though it's also a bit square like so I'd be cautious about this one. The Turn assist blade will probably have the most potential of the assist blades, if the assist blades prove itself viable. It's fairly round and very thick, and the fact it could flip to change modes is interesting. The K Bit is a weird mix of Taper and Hexa, which makes sense and I hope it'll be good, it's kinda neat. 4-70 is... kinda whatever, it does work okay for Hells I guess, but I wish it was a new ratchet but whatever, the rest is unique so it's okay I guess. Overall I'm really excited for this bey and I will be getting this one. The pulls are overall decent enough, especially with the inclusion of WhaleWave. It's also interesting that we're already having another CX blade as a pull but very nice. The parts are alright, nothing too special for the most part but they're serviceable. With that being said though, RhinoReaper kinda disappoints me, and yes it's because they're reusing the Reaper blade. It looks nice, but the shape feels too same-y. If I didn't know better I would've assumed Rhino was just a recolour for HellsReaper. I've seen people compare this to MFB's HWS system... but there's really no comparison. I get why, but even when HWS reused metal wheels, they had a unique part that differentiated each motif, their Clear Wheels. Say what you will about them, but at least the Clear Wheels made a clear distinction for each. All CX has is the chip stickers, which just doesn't cut it in my opinion. On the plus side, Rhino does have unique parts... well one unique part anyway, the Charge assist blade. 4-55 and Dot work for it, I guess... While I'm not fond of them reusing blades unmodified for other motifs, I don't mind if they only do this reusing blades like they did with Rhino a few times and not as the main focus of that product. However, if this becomes a more common trend, then yes I will have a problem with it, as I just want each bey to feel more unique, which even HWS is doing better at so far. Overall I'm really excited for this bey and I will be getting this one. The thing with MFB is that (apart from PHWS) the motifs were disconnected from the metal wheels from the very start, with more unique motif-specific MWs only coming later. Most of the early ones (like storm, rock, dark, flame, poison, etc) were elemental themed, and their shapes weren't based on a specific motif. Having that kind of disconnect made it viable for them to reuse MWs for other releases, as the design of the motif was centered around the face bolts and clear wheels. This is something that Burst (and now X) never had the luxury of, as their motifs were designed for, and were incorporated directly into, the layer/blade. Hasbro, for what it's worth, managed to make the most of the situation with their retooling of existing blades; because it was quite literally their only option apart from making completely new blade designs.. Overall I'm really excited for this bey and I will be getting this one. IĀ agree with some of this, but I do have some disagreements as well. The thing is, while it is true that MFB was built with reusing Metal Wheels in mind (until 4D at least), they always had something to truly differentiate the motifs in my eyes, the clear wheels. X is only differentiated by the chip, so you can literally stick a Wizard chip on Dran Brave and call it a Wizard bey, which is just... no. I agree that Burst probably didn't have the luxury to do this as each blade was very clearly tailor-made for each motif. X's CX line though, doesn't get this excuse in my opinion. Here's what they could've done: A) Just name the metal blade "Dran Brave" instead of just "Brave", for example, and keep every blade unique. Make the Assist Blades the part that beys can reuse since they're mostly not too specific to it's respective motif. No one would bat an eye if Round or Turn got reused, like theĀ Metal Wheels from MFB being reused. Sure, we wouldn't get to customize the names to make "HellsArc" or "WizardBrave" but it's a sacrifice I'd be willing to make if it meantĀ every blade was unique. B) Just make the metal blades the equivalent to the Clear Wheels in MFB, in that they represent each motif, and have the Assist Blade be that interchangable blade like the Metal Wheels in MFB. Admittedly, "Wizard Round", "Perseus Bumper" or "Hells Turn" aren't great names, so I'd still prefer option A. I suppose the only plus side is that it justifies the anime reusing blades and calling them different names, as they have different chip stickers, just like how CX does it. I know that was actually done because it's less expensive, but you get what I'm saying.
