Bits on your profiles - Pigbeef - Mar. 04, 2025

When you win 1st, 2nd or 3rd place at a ranked tournament, do you get a bit on your profile? If so, why haven't I gotten mine despite waiting for like a month now?

It's not always guaranteed to happen from what I understand. Have you try reaching out to the Organizer?

In theory yes, you get a Bit.

In practice, the backlog is over 1100 events. Bits are manually awarded, which at a rate of 2 Bits per minute for ~3300 backlogged Bits is about 28 hours of work. The Bit system was more manageable when the WBO was low-scope and hosting 60 events a year, but now we have over 60 events a month lol

To be transparent, I think people are correct to expect Bits within a timely manner, but the reality is the current system wasn't built to handle this scale of Bits. We've tried automating the process in the past, with no success.
