So, I saw Super 8, for which I was pretty excited. The trailer peeked my interest. So, how was it?

It sucked.

No, really, this movie sucks hard. The trailer shows off super-natural things happening, people being attacked, trains being crashed and exciting stuff. But I swear that the movie is at least 80% of stupid scenes with the kids that aren't really doing anything, talking about their parents, falling in love with one another, talking about love triangles that go nowhere, them shooting a silly zombie movie and all around being so freakin' boring.

HEY! I came to see an action/thriller movie about a giant monster killing stuff! I don't care about some kids shooting a movie or the fact that one of the kid's mother is dead. I mean who cares? Cloverfield wasn't great, but, at least, they didn't have a fifteen minutes scene where they talk about their dead mother.

And the ending is an E.T rip-off. Yes, an E.T rip-off in 2011. Just think about that, for a minute.

Saw Fast Five last night. It was a good movie. One part however made me confused.
Other then that part, I really enjoyed it. I got to see it in a movie theater where they show movies that aren't in theaters anymore, so it was nice and loud Smile

Earliar today I watched the first Death Note (RL) movie, I was hoping of watchin the second but...

Great, 10/10 the first 10 ten minutes is not recommended for a younger audiance. However even though it's a 15, I think a 10 Yr old who can stomach the anime/manga can easily watch this.

Also do not always think it will be exactly like the manga or anime, but follows basic plot and characters.

Green Lantern

I must say I liked this more than I thought I would(my favorite Green Lantern is John Stewart, and I know nothing about Hal Jordan beyond his origin story). I must say Ryan Reynolds did a good job, he was funny when he needed to be, and serious when necessary. It wasn't the best comic book movie, but it was definitely the closest to the comic that I've seen. My friend did a lot of GL research before the film and told me that Hal Jordan was pretty spot on. I really liked this move and it left me wanting more. I thought it was one of the few films where the sheer amount of CGI was not distracting. Mark Stong nailed Sinestro. after swing him in Sherock Holmes I knew he was a great actor, and I hope to see him in the next film. This isn't a spoiler but I'd like to inform people hoping to see this film that SINESTRO IS NOT EVIL in this film. I was expecting to see that but it did not occur. Apparently if I had bothered to look up anything about the film I would have known that. This isn't the Dark Knight but it is a great film(I personally rank it next to Iron Man, but some people don't like that film as much as I did). This film is story oriented to introduce the Green Lantern but it still has enough action to keep a good tempo.

I recently watched 2 movies.

1.Kung Fu Panda: I watched it before but its still AWESOME!

2.Leap Year: It was a good romantic comedy about some lady and her boy friend. She wanted to get engadeged on the 29th Febuary so she has to go all the way from Boston to Dublin. But everything gets cancelled right before she goes somewhere. She meets an inn keeper who gets her there. In the end she marry's the inn keeper because her old boyfriend only wanted to marry her so the house he was going to buy would be cheeper.

RE: Last movie you watched - Dude - Jun. 24, 2011

Just came back form watching the Green Lantern.

It was pretty good! I honestly don't see why it's getting fried by critics. Sure, it's no The Dark Knight, or anything, but it was still an above-average action super-hero movie.

There's a scene I absolutely love where Hal Jordan, now powered by the ring and wearing only a tiny lil' mask to hide his identity goes to see a girl he likes, whom he previously saved. She doesn't recognize him at first, but, after a while, she goes "...Hal? Is that you?" and starts calling him an idiot and saying things like "I've known you for years, stupid!" Which I found really funny.

3D was completely useless, but hey, that's pretty much always the case. Stupid 3D.

I do recommend it!

I watched Despicable me, it is FUNNY!!!

I caught Super 8 on Monday, and it was pretty good. It's very reminiscent of the Spielburg films of the 80s, like ET, or even films like The Goonies. It's very much a coming of age story told through the plot device of something incredible. I found the child actors to generally be on the mark. I actually really enjoyed the whole zombie movie subplot. Though the movie is caught up in Abrams-ness with the poor reveal of the monster, and abuse of lens flare. It's also pretty predictable, and while I mentioned its similarities to those other films it somehow lacks the heart. I didn't feel or care for the characters in Super 8 as much as I did those in the Goonies, or ET.

Abrams has a new film coming out. it's much like his other monster films.

...Uhh, Thresher, you do know that this is a satire video, don't you?

That's really obvious. It's not even a good one.

It was good but it was really unrealistic giving swords to teenagers come on.

.... not really, the time set was medieval or Viking, which was a pretty feasible moment to have that. And with you using that example, i assume it must have either been stupidity or sarcasm.

I saw super8 it was funny and scary at the same time

RE: Last movie you watched - Wizard - Jun. 25, 2011

Hmm... I watched Metropolis a few days ago. It was a pretty good movie. I like how it was fairly obvious that it came from the mind of Osamu Tezuka. The ending was kinda... Different than most endings. I almost feel bad for Kenichi. He meets Tima, has a great time with her, only to watch her die. I was kinda confused with the very end, though. I'm pretty positive that those robots were holding Tima's parts. And Kenichi said that he wanted to stay there for a while, and his uncle let him. So, was he planning on putting Tima back together? Lol.

I saw Black Swan today. Scarring movie, if I must say. Nice effects; they really captured the whole "schizophrenic" part really well.

9/10

But if you're under 13, don't watch it (I think it's rated R anyway).
