[Rochester/New York] Any bladers? - KingUma - Jul. 24, 2024

Looking for some community in the Central NY areas of Rochester/Geneva/Syracuse and going more south to Cortland possibly but staying in central to start as I would like to start getting events going for these areas.
Ultimate goal is to bring beyblade back to NY like I remember in the metal days.

Currently the only event that's been ran that I know of has been at Millennium Games in Rochester, NY which had a solid turn out and was just a learn to play (I assume for general point scoring and launch heights and such) I unfortunately was not able to attend. I figure that store can hopefully become a Hub for major events in the future.

Let me know if  you're in these areas and wanna get events going, I'm more than happy to collab and set some events up in conjuction with local game stores that'll have me, Ive co-owned 2 Magic shops and been in the card game business for over 20 yrs so I've built up alot of relationships with stores both friendly and professional.

Thanks all
-King Uma (Will)

I'm Syracuse personally. I know some people who host in Rochester at a store called millennium games

I'm definitely down to make something happen, even just some meet ups for fun even if no big tournaments get hosted lol! I'm just out there to have fun and play beyblade. But also, I have organizer role, so I can host without any logistical issues

Word, yea I'm down to work on an event at any store. Like I said I have relationships with a ton of stores that would be more than happy to allow me to host in various cities and towns across NYS. Just a matter of building it all up which I'm working on (mostly locally rn) slowly but surely. Money's more of a factor than anything cause if i had a stadium I'd have already begun some events.
Started a Facebook group specifically as more of a dedicated hub for NYS Organized play so everything's easily found.

Ooh, could you send the FB group? I have 3 stadiums, 2 TT one hasbro, plenty of launchers, and beys to lend if needed. We could for sure get the equipment if we got the people we could make things work.

I'm new to the hobby (longterm Magic: The Gathering player tho so I'm feeling the tournament/competitive play itch!) and I'm trying to find any sort of local scene. My girlfriend is also vaguely interested in tournament stuff so we're potentially 2+ more for the local rochester area Smile I'm only 15~ min from Millenium and would love to try and make weeklies/bi-weeklies/monthlies there.

Hey, saw you on the FB page! I hope we can get something going. I'm about an hour and a half out from millennium, but it's not too big of an issue travel wise
