RE: Gaming "shopping list" - Roan - Oct. 26, 2007 I'm considering buying Assassin's Creed, but I'm still a bit on the fence about it. I think I'll wait for more information before I decide. It does come out in November and that's when a whole shitload of other, potentially better (MARIO GALAXYYYYYYYY UGHHHH), games come out. RE: Gaming "shopping list" - Tototototototo - Oct. 26, 2007 Artie Wrote:Mario Galaxy (big maybe) WHAT Famitsu gave it a 38/40, man. It's supposed to be gellin'. Srsly. RE: Gaming "shopping list" - Roan - Oct. 26, 2007 Oh. Add GH3 to my list plzkthnx. <3 RE: Gaming "shopping list" - Roan - Oct. 27, 2007 sam Wrote:Mr. Toto Wrote:Artie Wrote:Mario Galaxy (big maybe) A game doesn't have to be difficult to be fun. I don't call playing through a game on the hardest difficulty setting "fun". Mario has always been about whether you're having fun playing and if there's a smile on your face while doing it. Go back to your shooters and leave the rest of us who appreciate games for what they really are alone. RE: Gaming "shopping list" - Roan - Oct. 27, 2007 sam Wrote:Roan Wrote:sam Wrote:Mr. Toto Wrote:Artie Wrote:Mario Galaxy (big maybe) Mario has never been a series that "held your hand" and Galaxy looks to be no different. I think the older Mario games were much easier than more current ones, with the exception of Sunshine. But Sunshine was an abhorrent; I don't even consider it part of the main Mario series. You really think shooters aren't hard? For you and I, no they really aren't. We don't think twice about the uber competitive online realm of FPS games. But keep in mind Mario games are targeted at a completely different audience. Mario is the Wii's flagship title this year whether you all want to admit it or not and as the Wii is the "family" system it only makes sense that it's accessible to people of varying ages. There's a huge difference between being outright easy and accessible. Mario walks that line quite perfectly and always has. It's challenging enough that more experienced gamers can have fun, but easy enough to pick up for anyone who just wants to kill a few minutes and have some fun. Mario has always been this sort of title. Oh, and stfu. I have played through Gears on Insane and completed it. I suffered through it with Artie and let me tell you, I think I speak for both of us when I say it wasn't fun at all. I started Halo 3 on Legendary with Artie and lost interest in it because we found, imagine this, it was too hard. RE: Gaming "shopping list" - Bey Brad - Oct. 27, 2007 Famitsu IS garbage. RE: Gaming "shopping list" - SexyMichael - Oct. 27, 2007 Mario Sunshine is hard as carp when you get to a certain point, and boring. Only Mario game that I haven't finished. I just lost interest completely.
