actually, some numbers will make the name better.
you just have to learn how to make the name and the numbers flow together by *generally* keeping the same sound. However, other numbers, when pronounced differently, will sound cool too. Example: 501st Legion, pronounced fifty-first, not five-hundred-and-one. It's just a matter of trial and error, but eventually mixing numbers with a word or set of words will come to be second nature. =)

Agreed, 100%. Seeing usernames with numbers at all is just irritating to me. At first it was to use names that were taken, I realize that, but now that people do it anyways, it just grows to be annoying. Do you honestly think people won't recognize you without a threesome of numbers next to your name?!
