I believe Natsume pulled the plug after the games sales started to drastically decline. Since Medabots was a franchise like Pokemon except anime wise, completely different.

EDIT- Yeah Brad, 5 of the tonne of Medabots games came to North America, 4 for GBA, and one for GameCube.

Deleted other post because it was useless information, anywhos, contrary to Wikipedia, 5 Medabots game were released in North America. 4 For GBA, in two sets of games, Medabots: Metabee Version, Medabots: Rokusho Version, as well as, Medabots AX: Metabee Version, Medabots AX: Rokusho Version. The information about Infinity is correct. And surprisingly the Medabots website that is still around has some fun games.
But Monster Ranchers was the carp.

Monster Rancher was an amazing game.
You could take ANY CD you owned and put it in your Playstation and it would spawn a new monster according to what disc you put in.
Amazing at the time.

yeah but it really just read the first bits of the first track and randomised it from there, it got tiresome after you realised how many of your cds produced the same monster.
that isn't to say i didnt carp love it.
but the battle system was weak, and the game as a whole was weak after a bit

Monster Rancher 2 was one of the best games ever.
