I think it's time for me to follow in Ras' footsteps and become another British girl who just pops up every now and then to say 'HIIII' and 'HELLOOOO' - I've been away quite a bit recently and it's due to a number of things; work, many new responsibilities and the fact my computer wouldn't turn on for 4 days because it's a piece of carp.
Still, I hope you won't completely forget about me as I'll pop in and out every so often to offer my amazingly apt pearls of wisdom* and ridiculous anecdotes. Take care of yourselves and good luck in whatever you do! I'll see you around. :)

I just got home from the hospital. I've had a fever and a swollen tonsil for a few days now, but this morning I collapsed in the kitchen and couldn't get up. It turns out my blood pressure was way too low and my fever was running 39.2C/103F. I'm doing better now though.

A guy was shot to death a few blocks away from my house execution style last night while fireworks were going off. How carp clever of them..........
I was just telling some one that this city has almost enough gun-related murders alone, to cover almost 300 days of the year.
Searching for the article reveals even more how many people have been killed recently between now and June.
Edit:
They meant business too, there was shell casings all over the area. The poor guy was probably dead after the first few shots, but they felt the needs to mangle his body.
I feel for the family.
