Beyblade X Wear & Tear on Tournament Legality? - Anthalt - Nov. 27, 2023

When is a part considered too worn down for use in a ranked Beyblade X Tournament?

While approaching the end of my peer review process of Skynet's article on Beyblade X Ratchet alignment across the different Blades (found here: https://skynet-intel.blogspot.com/2023/11/taking-sides-whose-side-are-you-on.html?m=1 ), I noticed my data starting to get funky...

Upon closer inspection of the parts I was using, I found that the Needle bit on which all of these tests had been conducted had had its sharp point worn down into something looking more akin to the Ball or Orb Bit.

For those interested I started noticing an impact to the measured performance of the bit around the 10 hour mark of continuous spin.

The bit still functions, but is undeniably different than it once was. I was wondering, where is the line for wear and tear in Beyblade X. Would a Needle bit looking like Ball be considered awakened, or would it just be straight up illegal in a tournament?

According to our rulebooks, once wear changes to the point that performance is drastically different compared to when it was fresh(unless it's confirmed officially that a part is supposed to wear down to the point performance changes, i.e. "awakening" in burst) then the part is no longer legal. Personally I'm not too sure if N smoothing out would count as illegal wear, but if it became completely flat it definitely would.
