Is Bearing Drift a problem against Attack for GT format testing. - Mr. Memes - Dec. 13, 2022

I have decided to test the prevalence of bearing drift in GT format by going through this specific MU to see if it presents any significant problems against opposite spin attack.

Test MU: Judgement Achilles Blitz Quick' Goku VS Master Spriggan Haswheel Bearing Drift

Battle 1: KO by Judgement

Battle 2: Wall bounce by Judgement

Battle 3: OS by Master

Battle 4: Wall bounce by Judgement

Battle 5: KO by Master

Judgement Win percentage: 60%

Master Win percentage: 40%.

While this testing may make it seem like Judgement doesn't struggle too highly, I still feel this MU is either 50/50 or 40/60 at worst for Judgement as I had to use Master BDR against RandomBlader 64 at my own tournament who used Judgement on Blitz Quick' against me in which I still somehow won against her despite her scoring a good amount of KOs against me.  I will consistently make updates on this thread for the sake of consistency and for people that may ask me to test not-so-common attack type options against BDR such as Storm Pegasus, Lightning L-Drago and Gravity Perseus.

I will provide some testing in a couple days but I will say I haven't had the same issue tbh. I'll get back to you on it.

Hello gonna drop some experience from last Sunday's event!

The combo in specific Master Ar.BDr. has been pretty popular and very dominant since it has amazing same and opposite spin, while having just as good defense.

A few combos I've seen beat it was Naked on Ig', and some typical offensive setups (Imperial St.Zn'+HasZ actually got an OS on it. Good job APAC!)

I haven't seen BDr be used on anything else so I don't have a say for different combos (Lord, Driger V2). I do think this go to zombie combo might pose a threat at future events but we'd prolly have to let said events say for themselves.

I will definitely will test Around for Master BDR against Zwei when I get the chance.  It sounds it will do better defensively against attack hopefully.  It's hard for me to give a definitive opinion on Ignition' due to its rarity and I don't think people who will commit to playing the format will throw money at an $80 bey for one part that is known to have QC issues.  However, I can always be proven wrong and it would be nice to see more play against opposite-spin BDR combos.
